Hey CMC runners! Our 2025 Training programs has kicked off for the Rhodes Half Marathon & 10km Training starts Monday, 10th February – a 12-week build-up leading to the event! The program will continue for future events as well.
What’s New This Year?
We’re mixing things up to include more runners, whether you’re a novice or a seasoned pro. We want to give everyone a stronger build-up to key events like the Cape Town Marathon, Winelands Marathon, Half Marathons, and 10kms.
Key Events for 2025:
1 May: Rhodes Half Marathon & 10km
13/14 Sept: Gun Run Half Marathon & 10km
18/19 Oct: Cape Town Marathon & 10km Peace Run
29 Nov: Winelands Marathon, Half Marathon & 10km
Training Focus:
Our goal is to create a continuous training cycle that helps reduce injury risks and provides a solid base for marathon runners preparing for Cape Town or Winelands.
If you’re not running a full marathon, it’s a perfect chance to work on your 21km or 10km times!
Training Details:
Tuesday Track Workouts: Join us for track sessions or follow a structured plan if you can’t attend or are just starting out.
Pack Runs for Long Runs: Don’t worry if the full pack run distance is too long! You can still join, just do an out-and-back route and come for coffee afterward! ☕
Training plans will be updated weekly on the CMC website.
