Huge Days for National Cabinet
The past few days have seen major changes for the Concordian Republic's National Cabinet. From an election, to constitutions, to the departure of a member, here's what has happened in the past week.
The first political party, the Social Democratic Party, was formed on March 11, attaining a technical majority. Since then, the party has grown to three members in the Cabinet. March 15 then marked the announcement of a Republic-wide election, larger than the anticipated election for Aeonian governor. March 14 had just seen the formation of the second political party, the New National Party. The NNP is only endorsing one candidate, H. Norman for Aeonian Governor.
The 17th of March brought an onslaught of information on the Concordian Republic's Announcements page. This included a fully public election announcement and discussions of the Basic Law. First reported here, the Basic Law is the Concordian Republic's constitution equivalent. It has been in the works for more than six months, and it looks like the document is finally nearing completion.
Also amongst the March 17 announcements was the news that border shifts would be discussed at the seating of the National Cabinet this Sunday. CMBC News understands that the expanded Aeonia would involve a tenfold expansion into more bushland. This discussion was exacerbated after the announcement today that Governor of Carrolinux, Jane Carl, was stepping down and taking her state with her. She is remaining an honorary citizen.
We will just have to wait until Sunday to find out what the now single-party National Cabinet will do. We can say that the commemoration of service video for Jane Carl will be distributed by CMBC Film. We also gained exclusive access to the conversation where Carl stepped down, seen below.
