Each of the musicians of Ensemble San Francisco is an international star in their own right — graduates of Yale, Julliard, the Cleveland Institute, and regular members of the San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco Ballet, Santa Fe Opera orchestras. They perform at Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center — but Ensemble SF is equally committed to bringing music of the highest quality to schools in low access communities, juvenile halls, hospitals, homeless centers. Their mission: “to inspire a more just and inclusive world by using artistry to recognize our shared humanity.”
The program will include the monumental Brahms g minor quartet Opus 25, Five Pieces by Dmitri Shostakovich for two violins and piano, along with two short new works: Solbong Kim’s quartet “From the Sixth Hour” (2004) and Polina Nazaykinskaya’s “Songs for Tasya” (2021)

The first prize winner of many prestigious guitar competitions, including the Guitar Foundation of America International Youth Competition (2018, Junior Division, and 2020, Senior Division) and the Parkening International Guitar Competition (2019 Youth Division), Eric received the distinction of semi-finalist in the 2022 Presidential Scholar in the Arts award. This fall he begins studying at the San Francisco Conservatory with Professor Meng Su, while at the same time starting as a freshman in physics at Stanford University. Eric lives in San Jose with his family.

Clerestory is the Bay Area’s professional, all-male vocal chamber ensemble. In the truest spirit of chamber music, their performances are not conducted, but led from within by its members, many of whom are veterans of the Bay Area's finest professional vocal groups, including Chanticleer, Philharmonia Baroque, American Bach Soloists, and others. Founded in 2006, Clerestory’s mission is to engage, enlighten and inspire by bringing the highest level of artistic excellence to a wide range of choral music for audiences in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. The ensemble has been featured on National Public Radio.
Their program, "Phoenix Rising", is a musical exploration of loss, longing, metamorphosis, and rebirth - a journey we can all relate to. Along the way you will hear early music from Thomas Tallis and Josquin, gems from Elgar, Holst, and Clara Schumann, and new works from diverse living composers, like Stacy Garrop, whose Songs of Joy and Refuge trace the circuitous path we've all shared in recent years.
