The two images to the right were taken in 2021. I really tried to focuss on interesting lighting and experimenting with different ways the lighting would hit my subject, these are some of my overall favourite images as they were a complete suprise when it came to editing them. There are things i would have done differently now that im looking back such as lighting up the face just a little bit more (i feel like it just gets washed out in the darkness of the background) and i could have possibly taken the photo a little further back to get the full right shoulder in frame. Overall i am very proud of this photoshoot.Â
Photography has always been a medium i have enjoyed expressing myself through. During the COVID-19 pandemic my enjoyment for photography really began to shine through, my friends and I would meet up and take silly pictures and just enjoy our time together. I enjoyed making my friends feel more confident about themselves through my photography. The images on the carousel to the left were taken in the summer of 2021 and are possibly my favourite photography peices of this time when i really started to have fun with my images and really wanted to displaty emotion in my peices. I truely love these images.
My photography in 2023 is a bit more experimental, i have been doing a lot more landscape and nature photography which is not my strength however i want to branch out and explore photography in different ways. One way in which i have been experimenting is my use of polaroid cameras. I have been using Polaroid 600 film for my photograohy and also to document things in my life.

What i love most about polaroid film is that sometimes the image doesnt come out as developed and as clear as you wanted it to, this happened with most of my images from that night however it also makes the images seem more special. Most of the polaroids arent very clear but i can remember clearly when i took them, I know what they were meant to capture and that makes them meaningful to me, far more meaningful than an image taken on a digital camera.
I started to experiment with aspect ratios in my photography during early 2023
Images above use a 2.39 x 1 aspect ratio, typically used in modern cinema
The image above uses a 4 x 3 aspect ratio, used in vintage cinema

I decided to come into work and photograph some of my colleagues and sent off my photos to the marketing team, they eventually chose one of them and posted it on all of their social media pages. Here are some of those images below
Here is some of my latest photography as of 20/07/2023
