How to reach Trieste
By train: Trieste Centrale is served by Trenitalia and Italo trains.
By plane: the closest airports are Trieste Airport and Venezia Marco Polo Airport.
Connection from Trieste Airport to Trieste by taxi (40 min., ~65 €, https://taxitriesteairport.it/wp/ or call +39 0481 778000), shuttle bus (60 min., line G51, find timetable here) or train (40 min., 4.40 €, https://www.trenitalia.com/).
Connection from Venice Marco Polo airport to Trieste by bus+train (via Venezia Mestre, ~2:30-3 hours), direct bus connection (Flixbus, ~2 hours), private or shared airport transfer (GoOpti).
How to reach the CLUSTER4 venue
The conference venue can be reached by bus from the city center in ~10-20', with several lines including:
from Trieste central station: bus n. 3, 17/, 51 (~15', including 5' walking)
from Piazza Oberdan or Barriera Nuova: bus n. 3, 4, 17, 17/, 51 (10-14', including ~5' walking)
from Ponte Rosso: bus n. 17 (17', including 6' walking)
from Piazza Goldoni: bus n. 3, 17, 17/, 51 (~17' including 8-10' walking)
from Piazza Unità, Piazza Venezia, Piazza Borsa, Piazza Cavana, Teatro Romano: bus n. 17 (~20-23' including 3-8' walking)
