About Club d'Elf:
Club d'Elf has been helping audiences lose track of time since its first show twenty three years ago at Boston's Lizard Lounge, and since then has taken its bold synthesis of Moroccan traditional music and electronic, dubbed-out funk to audiences as far away as Japan and South America. Circling about bassist/composer Mike Rivard and drummer Dean Johnston, each Club d'Elf performance features a different line-up, drawn from a constellation of some of the most creative improvisers from the jazz, DJ, rock & world music scenes of Boston and NYC. The band's music has been called "the music of dreams" by the Boston Globe, and draws from a startlingly wide spectrum of styles, including jazz, Moroccan Gnawa, hip hop, psychedelia, electronica, avant garde and dub.
About Flight 467:
Flight 467 is a virtuosic NYC-based funk-fusion band. Their sound is centered around Adam Strum (guitar) and Josh Geisler (bass), who have been playing together for over 25 years and share a telepathic level of improvisational communication. Adding their formidable talents to the mix are veteran groove masters Doron Lev (drums) and Phil Kester (drums/percussion), as well as tenor saxophonist and midi madman Sean Nowell. A Flight 467 show brings a potent combination of tight, funky compositions and free-flowing improvisational journeys that leave their audience inspired and coming back for more.
About Macrodose:
Macrodose consist of visual artists Chris Georges and Gregory Thrasher. Together they create psychedelic light shows and projections for bands all over New York City and Brooklyn. Using 60’s techniques updated with modern tools, Macrodose aim to create one of a kind live visuals with liquids, video synthesis and cameras to give concertgoers a synesthetic experience. There are no laptops used and we do not press play, everything is live and manipulated by hand.
