There is a limited number of rooms available in a courtesy block at the Comfort Inn University, less than one mile from the University of Montana campus. Use this link to book a room in the CISL courtesy block. You can also call directly (406-549-7600) to reserve a room in the CISL courtesy block. The courtesy block will be released at 12:00am midnight, Mountain Daylight Time, on Friday, April 21, 2023.

CISL sessions will all convene on campus (specific building/room information TBA). We suggest parking in lot P.

You should purchase 2 1-day parking passes. A 1-day parking pass costs $4.

To purchase a parking pass,

• Visit this page on the UM Police’s site and navigate to the Parking Portal. You will need to create an account. These passes are virtual and validated using your license plate number. 

• Visit the University Police/Facilities Services building and purchase your day passes there. Display your parking pass in your dashboard.

It is best to fly into Missoula International Airport (MSO).

If you will rent a car, follow the driving directions above from Missoula Airport.

Missoula has a free bus line called the Mountain Line. Visit their website or download the smartphone app called Transit for specific route and schedule information.

To get to campus from the airport, take the Route 11 bus from the airport to the Downtown Transfer Center.

From the Transfer Center, take the Route 12 bus toward 55th St & Bridger Court.

Tug the cord in the bus to signal the bus driver to stop at either (1) Arthur Ave & Eddy Ave or (2) Arthur Ave & University Ave.

From Missoula Airport

• From the rental car lot, follow signs for Airport Exit

• At the Airport Exit stop sign, turn Right onto W Broadway St/US Highway 10 W

• Continue on W Broadway for ~5.5 miles

• Turn Right onto the Madison Street Bridge (signs for University)

• Use the left lane to continue straight onto Arthur Avenue

Westbound on I-90

• Take exit 105 to US-12 W/N Van Buren St

• At the first roundabout, take the first exit

• At the second roundabout, continue straight

• At the light, turn Right onto Broadway St

• Use the left two lanes to turn Left onto the Madison Street Bridge

• Use the left lane to continue straight onto Arthur Avenue

Eastbound on I-90

• Take exit 105 to US-12 W/N Van Buren St

• At the first roundabout, take the third exit

• At the second roundabout, continue straight

• At the light, turn Right onto Broadway St

• Use the left two lanes to turn Left onto the Madison Street Bridge

• Use the left lane to continue straight onto Arthur Avenue

Northbound on US-93

• Drive North on US-93 N

• Continue straight onto US-12 E/Brooks St

• Turn right onto Mount Ave

• Mount Avenue turns left and becomes Hill St

• At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Beckwith Ave

• At the light, turn Left onto Arthur Avenue

Southbound on US-93

• Drive South on US-93 S

• After the traffic light at Wye, use the right lane to take the I-90 E/US-93 W/MT-200 E ramp toward Missoula

• Take exit 105 to US-12 W/N Van Buren St

• At the first roundabout, take the first exit

• At the second roundabout, continue straight

• At the light, turn Right onto Broadway St

• Use the left two lanes to turn Left onto the Madison Street Bridge

• Stay left to continue straight onto Arthur Avenue

The Missoula International Airport is approximately 6.5 miles from campus (a ~15 minute drive). Uber and Lyft services are regularly available in Missoula.
