Privacy Policy

clozetest — Package: com.clozetest.app

Effective Date: July 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how clozetest ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to being transparent about our data practices and respecting your privacy.

Key Highlights:

• No account registration or login is required — we use an anonymous ID system.

• All your game data is stored locally on your device, not on our servers.

• We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

──────────────────────────────────────────

1. Information We Collect

──────────────────────────────────────────

1.1 Locally Stored Data (On-Device)

The App stores the following data locally on your device using an on-device SQLite database within the App's private storage sandbox. This data never leaves your device unless explicitly initiated by you for subscription or data deletion purposes.

• Anonymous ID — An anonymous identifier generated according to RevenueCat's SDK rules. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information. Purpose: Identifies your game profile and subscription records within RevenueCat without revealing your identity.

• Game Records — Game scores, number of attempts, game duration, sentence difficulty levels, and sentence categories played. Purpose: Displayed in your profile screen and used for game statistics.

• Profile Creation Date — The timestamp when your anonymous profile was first created on this device. Purpose: Shown in your profile and used for subscription verification.

• Subscription Status — Whether you have an active subscription (annual membership), including the first purchase date bound to your anonymous ID. Purpose: Determines whether ads are displayed and supports subscription restoration.

• Language Preference — Your selected app language (English or Chinese). Purpose: Displays the App interface in your preferred language.

• Free Trial Counters — Remaining free game trials and ad-granted trial counts with expiration dates. Purpose: Manages the free trial and ad-reward trial system.

1.2 Data Processed by Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services. Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for the service to function.

• Google Play Billing — Data shared: Purchase tokens and transaction data processed by Google Play. No personal data is sent by our App. Purpose: Processes in-app subscription purchases and restores past purchases.

• RevenueCat — Data shared: Anonymous ID, purchase receipts (from Google Play), and subscription status. No name, email, or phone number is shared. Purpose: Manages subscription lifecycle, validates purchases, and enables cross-device subscription restoration via the anonymous ID.

• Advertising SDKs — Data shared: Device advertising ID, IP address, approximate location (derived from IP), device model, OS version, and app usage data related to ad interactions. Purpose: Displays ads within the App for non-subscribed users. Ad interactions are governed by the respective ad network's privacy policy.

• Google Play Services — Data shared: Standard device and service information as required by Android. Purpose: Core Android functionality, including in-app billing and ad serving.

1.3 Permissions Used by the App

The App requests the following Android permissions:

• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE — Used to read the local game database file stored on the device.

• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE — Used to write and update the local game database file on the device.

• RECORD_AUDIO — May be used for voice input features (e.g., pronunciation practice). Audio is processed locally and is not recorded or transmitted.

• MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS — Used in conjunction with audio input features to adjust audio settings for optimal voice input quality.

──────────────────────────────────────────

2. How We Use Your Information

──────────────────────────────────────────

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Provide the core game experience: Store your game progress, scores, and statistics locally on your device.

• Manage subscriptions: Validate and manage your annual membership subscription through RevenueCat and Google Play Billing, using only your anonymous ID.

• Display ads: Show advertisements to non-subscribed users and manage free trial counts granted by watching ads.

• Restore purchases: Allow you to restore a previous subscription if you reinstall the App or switch devices, using your Google account.

• Improve App functionality: Aggregate, anonymized usage data from ad SDKs may be used to improve ad relevance and App performance.

• Provide customer support: Respond to your inquiries and data deletion requests sent to our support email.

──────────────────────────────────────────

3. How We Share Your Information

──────────────────────────────────────────

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Information is shared only as described below:

• RevenueCat: Your anonymous ID and subscription-related data (purchase receipts, subscription status) are shared with RevenueCat to manage your subscription. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or any directly identifiable information.

• Google Play Billing: Purchase transactions are processed by Google Play Billing. Google's own privacy policy governs this data.

• Advertising Partners: When ads are displayed, advertising SDKs may collect device identifiers and usage data as described in their respective privacy policies. This occurs only for non-subscribed users.

• Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

──────────────────────────────────────────

4. Data Security

──────────────────────────────────────────

We take reasonable measures to protect your data:

• Local-only storage: Your game records, profile, and trial data are stored exclusively on your device using the device's local file system. We do not maintain a server-side database of your personal data.

• No personally identifiable information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other directly identifiable information. All user identification is done through anonymous IDs generated by the RevenueCat SDK, which cannot be traced back to your real identity.

• Minimal data sharing: Only the minimum necessary data (anonymous ID and purchase receipts) is shared with third-party services (RevenueCat, Google Play Billing). No personal data is transmitted.

• Android sandbox isolation: Your data is stored within the App's private sandbox on Android, which isolates it from other apps. Data is automatically removed when you uninstall the App.

⚠ Important Risk Notice: Because all core data is stored locally on your device, uninstalling the App or clearing App data will permanently delete your game records, free trial counters, and ad-watching history. This data cannot be recovered. Only subscription status can be restored through Google Play's "Restore Purchase" feature using your Google account.

──────────────────────────────────────────

5. Data Retention

──────────────────────────────────────────

• Local data: Game records, profile data, and trial counters are retained on your device until you uninstall the App or clear App data. We do not retain copies of this data on any server.

• Subscription data (RevenueCat): Your anonymous ID and subscription records are retained by RevenueCat for as long as your subscription is active, and may be retained thereafter to support subscription restoration and legal compliance. You may request deletion of this data at any time (see Section 6.2).

• Advertising data: Data collected by advertising SDKs is retained according to each ad network's own retention policy. Please refer to the respective ad network's privacy policy for details.

──────────────────────────────────────────

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion

──────────────────────────────────────────

In accordance with Google Play's Data Deletion requirements, we provide two deletion paths: an in-app method for locally stored data, and a web-based method for server-side data associated with your anonymous ID.

Summary of Deletion Paths:

• Path 1 (In-App): Uninstall the App or clear App data → deletes all local data immediately.

• Path 2 (Web Link): Send an email to apphelp2000@outlook.com → deletes RevenueCat subscription records and associated server-side data.

6.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

You can delete all locally stored data at any time by:

• Uninstalling the App from your device, or

• Clearing the App's data from your device's Settings → Apps → clozetest → Storage → Clear Data.

This will immediately and permanently delete the following data from your device:

- Game records (scores, attempts, duration, difficulty levels, categories)

- Anonymous ID

- Profile creation date

- Language preference

- Free trial counters and ad-reward trial history

⚠ Important: Uninstalling the App or clearing App data only deletes local data. Data stored on RevenueCat's servers (subscription records, purchase history linked to your anonymous ID) is NOT automatically deleted. To delete server-side data, please use the web-based deletion process in Section 6.2 below.

6.2 Web-Based Data Deletion Request (RevenueCat & Subscription Records)

For data associated with your RevenueCat anonymous ID — including subscription records, purchase history, and any server-side data linked to your anonymous ID — we provide an email-based data deletion process with two-step verification to ensure security.

How to Request Data Deletion:

Send an email to apphelp2000@outlook.com with the following requirements:

Step 1 — Compose Your Request Email

• Email Subject: Must be exactly: DATA DELETION REQUEST - CLOZETEST

Step 2 — Email Body must include ALL of the following:

1. Your RevenueCat anonymous ID: The anonymous ID shown in your App's Profile screen (you can copy it directly from the profile page).

2. Screenshot of the anonymous ID page: A screenshot from the App's Profile screen showing your anonymous ID. This screenshot must clearly show the anonymous ID.

3. Statement of deletion intent: A clear statement requesting data deletion, acknowledging that:

   - You are voluntarily requesting deletion of your data.

   - Once deleted, the data cannot be recovered.

   - You understand and accept the risks that deleted data cannot be restored.

Step 3 — Confirmation Process

• After we receive your request email, we will send a confirmation email within 3 to 14 business days asking you to verify your identity and confirm the deletion request.

• You must reply to the confirmation email to verify and confirm that you want to proceed with deletion.

• After we receive your confirmation reply, we will process the deletion within 14 business days and send you a final email confirming that the deletion has been completed.

• Business days are based on our office's local working calendar.

What Gets Deleted:

- Your anonymous ID and all associated records on RevenueCat's servers

- Subscription status and purchase history linked to your anonymous ID

- Purchase receipt data shared with RevenueCat

⚠ Important Security Notice:

To protect your data security, we ONLY support data deletion when you can provide:

- The exact anonymous ID associated with the data, AND

- A valid screenshot showing the anonymous ID from the App's Profile screen.

If you have uninstalled the App or cleared App data, and you no longer have access to your anonymous ID or the required screenshot, we will be unable to process the deletion request, as we have no way to verify which data belongs to you. Please record your anonymous ID before uninstalling the App if you anticipate needing data deletion in the future.

──────────────────────────────────────────

Restore Subscription After Local Data Clear / Reinstall

──────────────────────────────────────────

If you have cleared App data or reinstalled the App, you can restore your subscription by:

1. Open the App → Profile tab (我的)

2. Tap the Settings gear icon (⚙️) at the top right

3. Select "Restore Purchase" (恢复购买)

4. Follow the Google Play prompt to restore your subscription

Your subscription is linked to your Google account and will be restored after verification.

6.3 Third-Party Data Deletion

Some of your data is processed by third-party services. We will request deletion of your data from these services when you submit a data deletion request via Section 6.2. However, you may also contact them directly:

• RevenueCat: We will request deletion of your anonymous ID and associated records from RevenueCat's servers as part of the Section 6.2 process. You may also review RevenueCat's privacy practices at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

• Google Play Billing: Transaction records are maintained by Google Play according to Google's own data retention policies. We do not control Google's retention of transaction records. You can manage your Google Play data at https://myaccount.google.com/

• Advertising SDKs: Advertising data (device advertising ID, IP address, approximate location, device model, OS version) is collected and retained by ad networks according to their own policies. To opt out of personalized advertising or request deletion of advertising data:

  - Opt out of Ads Personalization: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

  - Reset your advertising ID: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID

  - Contact the ad network directly for data deletion requests

6.4 Data Retention Exceptions

In accordance with Google Play's policy, we may retain certain data after a deletion request for legitimate reasons, including security, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance. Specifically:

• Fraud prevention: Anonymized transaction records may be retained to prevent fraudulent refund requests or chargeback abuse. This data is not linked to your personal identity.

• Legal compliance: We may retain records as required by applicable tax, accounting, or financial regulations. Such data is retained in anonymized form where possible.

• Service operation: Anonymous, aggregated usage data that cannot be traced back to you may be retained for analytics and service improvement purposes.

All retained data is anonymized or aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally. We do not retain your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.

──────────────────────────────────────────

7. Children's Privacy

──────────────────────────────────────────

• The App does not require account registration or login.

• No personally identifiable information (such as name, email, or phone number) is collected from any user, including children.

• All user data is anonymized using anonymous IDs generated by the RevenueCat SDK.

• Advertising data (to ad network servers, which may be located outside your country).

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA respectively. You may exercise these rights through the data deletion process described in Section 6.2.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will:

• Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
