Art Awareness

CLOW PTA ART AWARENESS

The Clow PTA Art Awareness program is a one-hour quarterly presentation/art project for each classroom. This program helps create a long-lasting appreciation of the arts. Volunteers show an assigned artist PowerPoint presentation to the class, and then engage the students in a planned art activity. You and the teacher will determine the day and time that works best for each of your schedules to go into the classroom during your chosen quarter. This program operates best when we are able to get 4-5 parents per classroom to share the responsibility. The number of opportunities you have to volunteer depends upon the number of parents who sign up.

STEP ONE

STEP TWO

Click on your artist below, all listed by grade and quarter, once you have been assigned.

STEP THREE

Work with your teacher to determine the best date and time to visit the classroom. If you need to cancel, please let us know, so we may get another volunteer. If you are able, try to coordinate with the other volunteers in your grade level so you aren't presenting on the same day, as supplies are shared.

STEP FOUR

Make sure to check the PTA closet for your supplies BEFORE your assigned date. If you are missing supplies, please let us know so we can restock. Please leave the supplies in the closet unless you need to take things home to cut/prepare.

**You may only access the PTA closet before 10:45am and after 1:30pm, as the entrance is in the lunch room.**

STEP FIVE

Go to Clow, present, and have fun!
