🐾 Puppy Purchase & Adoption Policy

At Clover & Pine Chihuahuas, we are committed to placing our puppies in safe, loving, and responsible homes. Please review the following policies carefully before reserving or purchasing a puppy.

📝 Reservation & Deposits

• A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy. The deposit will be applied toward the puppy’s total purchase price.

• Once a deposit has been received, that puppy will be considered reserved and will no longer be offered to other families. Because we turn away other potential homes once a puppy has been reserved, deposits are non-refundable if the buyer changes their mind or is otherwise unable to complete the adoption.

• The remaining balance is due before or at the time the puppy leaves for their new home.

📄 Registration Information (AKC) and Adoption fees

Our Chihuahua puppies are eligible for AKC registration and are available with either limited registration as a beloved companion or full registration with breeding rights.

Limited AKC Registration — $1,200
For families looking for a wonderful companion, puppies are available with limited AKC registration. Puppies placed with limited registration are sold as pets and do not include breeding rights.

Full AKC Registration — $2,000
For approved homes interested in showing or breeding, puppies may be purchased with full AKC registration and breeding rights.

All puppies will be microchipped before leaving for their new homes, with the microchip information provided to the new owner.

Regardless of registration type, our priority is placing each puppy in a loving, responsible home where they will be a treasured member of the family.

💲 Payment Terms

• Full payment must be received prior to or at the time of pickup.

• We accept approved payment methods as discussed at the time of reservation.

• No puppy will be released without full payment.

🐶 Health Guarantee

• All puppies are raised in a clean, safe, and attentive environment.

• Puppies will be up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming at the time of pickup.

• Buyers are required to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup.

If a licensed veterinarian determines the puppy to have a serious health condition present prior to pickup:

• Buyer must notify us immediately with written documentation from the veterinarian.

• We reserve the right to a second veterinary opinion.

• Remedies may include replacement puppy or refund at our discretion.

🏡 Buyer Responsibility

By purchasing a puppy, the buyer agrees:

• To provide proper care, including food, shelter, veterinary care, and socialization

• To ensure the puppy is not neglected, abused, or abandoned

• That the puppy will be kept in a safe and humane environment

🔁 Return Policy

• If at any time the buyer is unable to keep the puppy, we request the puppy be returned to us.

• Puppies may not be surrendered to shelters or rescues without contacting us first.

• No refunds will be issued for returned puppies unless otherwise agreed.

🚫 No Guarantees

• We do not guarantee size, temperament, or future breeding ability.

• We do not guarantee against common conditions that may develop over time due to genetics or environment.

By placing a deposit or purchasing a puppy, the buyer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms outlined above.
