Chef Tong grew up watching his mother cook in her small shop in Chiang Dao, located in the northern mountains of Thailand. Seeing how his mother’s food made others happy and created close bonds in the community, Tong developed a love for food and cooking at a young age inspiring him to one day build his own restaurant.

Tong serves authentic Thai dishes from his home country of Thailand, while also creating Japanese dishes taught by his Japanese wife. CLOVER has been providing a variety of dishes including curries, stir fry, rice meals and noodle meals to the community since its opening in 2000.
