As a content creator, it's important to set boundaries between yourself and your fanbase. I like talking to people, but I also like trying to keep some distance between myself and my fans, in an effort to prevent parasocial behaviour. Additionally, I am currently in therapy working towards drawing the line between friendship and pleasant conversation, among other things, and am generally very introverted on my own. As such, I would like to set a few boundaries and rules for my fanbase with me and my characters.
CW: This page is going to be... pretty long. I didn't realize how indepth my stupid ass was going to go until I already wrote more than half of it. Feel free to pick and choose what you wanna read; I apparently just wrote all of this for myself /silly. There's also some uncomfortable and potentially triggering topics that are mentioned, considering that the subject matter is my boundaries, which will be written uncensored for clarity's sake. I apologize if some of this page is difficult for you as a reader.
Additionally, I have a DNI page on my main Tumblr that I follow along with my boundaries. Yes, I know, it's cringe as fuck, but frankly I don't care. I follow both my boundaries and my internal """DNI criteria""" when currating my online space, even if others don't.
Do not encourage my oversharing habits to learn extremely personal details about me, my friends, or my family.
Do not attempt to locate or guess my personal info based on stories & info/pictures I feel comfortable sharing.
Do not create content thirsting over my real self, or make NSFW related to my real self and other VTubers' real selves/in general real people.
I make NSFW jokes and swear a lot on my streams, but I avoid directing these jokes at my chat as much as possible. Please do not try to push me to do so; I do not want to make any chat members uncomfortable, nor encourage parasocial behaviours.
Do not personally message me through IMs or emails unless the subject is business related, such as interest in a commission or an adoptable that you would like to buy.
Please note that I generally do not accept commissions outside of my commission form, especially when I do not have open slots. DMs are generally reserved for discussions after commission forms are accepted.
Do not twist my words in an effort to make me out to be something that I am not.
I am an adult. I can be spoken to as one if there is something genuinely wrong that I have done in the past, or currently am doing.
If you have a concern about something offensive I may be doing and want to discuss it, please bring sources and citations as to why these behaviours are harmful, and where I have displayed these behaviours. I do not know every minute offensive term and/or action online and offline, but I will do my best to change as I learn /gen.
Do not attempt to find images of my face online, or repost them if you do find any.
Do not intentionally expose me to content with high contrast overlapping patterns and/or flashing.
Do not use any of my stream or story content to create chat bots on Character AI or related applications.
Roleplaying as my characters is welcome, as long as there is a real human doing so.
Do not purposefully expose minors to my content, even if the content is SFW.
I cannot wholly prevent minors from seeing and enjoying my content; not everyone is open about their lives or their ages. However, I try to prevent this as much as humanly possible via blocking and banning them. Purposefully bringing minors into an adult space is extremely damaging for them, even if you may not think so. It is so even if they put themselves in the environment anyways (like I did myself when I was a child). Please do the right thing for all of us; draw the line, keep it drawn, and don't step over it.
I like to poke fun at myself when playing games, watching something, or discussing about things about myself. However, I have a limit just like most people do. I don't appreciate any of the following things;
Going over-the-top with teasing/insulting on social media posts or videos/streams, to the point of overtly personal comments.
Digging up old artworks and/or song covers with the intent solely to bully or embarrass me.
Making in-depth jokes about traumas I've discussed, beyond jokes I make myself, and/or constantly bringing them up.
Just like my Terms of Service having things I will not personally draw, there is a good variety of things that I do not want my characters drawn with as well, ESPECIALLY my sonas. I am usually lenient on things that people can draw my characters with, but there are quite a few exceptions to this statement.
Some things I do not want ANY of my characters drawn with include;
Hate speech, including nazi propaganda, sexism, racism, LGBTphobia, fatphobia, etc..
Pro-corporation speech or promotional content for major companies/medias.
This does not include indie projects such as YouTube series, personally hosted comics, etc..
Anything relating to vore, including digestion.
Heavy gore, i.e. anything involving exposed/damaged organs or dismembered limbs.
This does not include deep wounds and body horror, as several of my characters and their artworks feature these subjects. However, I humbly ask that (especially in regards to body horror) these themes are kept to the characters who already have them.
Anything unsanitary, i.e. vomit, scat, urine, periods, or genital bleeding.
NSFW content of/with underage or child-like characters, whether they are my characters or characters owned by other people.
NSFW content of/with feral animals, a.k.a creatures that are not bipedal/upright walking.
This includes My Little Pony/EQG characters. Yes, even if they're human.
NSFW or ship artwork with characters and a sex/gender they are not attracted to, ex. a gay man with a woman/lesbian and vice-versa.
Rape/non-con/dub-con and related topics like csa, assault, trafficking, etc..
Several of my OCs have these traumas as a way for me to cope with them, but outside of writing I do not want these things depicted and/or romanticized in any way.
Feet or tickling fetishes.
Uncomfortable topics/themes. Said topics for me and my content personally are:
Minors x adults.
Incest. Ex.: sisters x brothers, parents x kids, cousin x cousin, etc..
Extreme age gaps (20-35+ years).
Please assume that all of my OCs are young adults (18-30), or the equivalent of a young adult (in the case of my Warriors OCs and characters from The Traumaverse), unless they are tagged/described as otherwise.
Cheating/NTR.
Ageplay.
Genderbends, especially with characters who are transgender, nonbinary, intersex, and/or gender non-confirming.
Some additional boundaries I would like to include are as follows;
Do not redesign my characters, whether they are regular OCs or sonas, unless I have given explicit permission.*
Do not make kinsonas of my characters, whether they are regular OCs or sonas.*
Do not make AI artwork/NFTs related to or of my characters.
My OCs that are transgender, or otherwise non-cisgender, should be assumed to have either magically altered their physical bodies or have gone through top & bottom surgery into their preferred sex. NSFW or nude content with them must feature their altered genitalia and top surgery scars.
Characters that are sexually ambiguous I do not want NSFW made of. I can be asked about exceptions, just please don't assume that my permission canonizes the character as one sex or another.
Please respect all of the above boundaries in relation to ALL of my characters, including all characters below this section. If there are exceptions to these rules, they will be written in a note below this or with the character themself on Toyhou.se/in below sections.
*Note: These stipulations do not apply to characters featured in any short stories and novels that I have professionally published. This is because I consider them to be canon characters when professionaly penned, and am much more welcoming to them being used for personal projects. Please do not change the races of any canonical POC characters and/or remove cultural aspects from ANY characters' designs/stories. This note does not mean you can steal and claim the characters to be your own.
If you are unfamiliar with it, I am the sole creator and author of the furry fantasy novel series 'The Journal'. With some topics that I intend to bring up over the course of the story, I consider the universe itself to fall under the 'Dead Dove; Do Not Eat' label, and several books will feature content warnings. Despite this genre labelling, I have some personal boundaries about this universe and its characters/species as well, which I would greatly appreciate if they were respected. They are as follows;
Although most characters are furries, do not draw/write NSFW of them with anatomically accurate genitalia.
This does not apply to fan-made species that have a canon genitalia description, such as the Thanphies (which have cloacas).
In regards to the Thanphies, please respect the sex differences in the species when creating fan characters.
This does not mean your character has to be cismale or cisfemale. Custom markings/additions are allowed for all identities.
Do not make NSFW content, written or drawn, of Andok, and do not thirst over him.
Please note that, although I kin him, Andok is not a sona of mine. The kin has no influence over my discomfort toward NSFW of him.
Do not make NSFW content of non-bipedal characters, such as Queen Dydar or the true physical transformations of Dragonstones.
I don't draw any lines between characters in the series being shipped, however I would prefer if Johnathon and Dexter were not due to their canon relationship/age gap.
Kinsonas/sonas are characters that I feel are representative of me as a person. They share my names, pronouns, genders, and other similar details, even down to my personality. These characters as the purest forms of me as an individual, but they are considered original characters themselves. As such, I have specific things that people can do with them as well. Some of these boundaries are as such;
Please do not ship ANY of my sonas with feminine aligned characters.
This does not apply to GNC people, genderfluid people, or feminine men. This also does not apply to transmen/transmascs who do not want to transition or fully transition at all, as my partner is the same way.
I'm not comfortable with NSFW of my primary sonas (Ace, Colt, Hunter), HOWEVER, I am open to suggestive content of Hunter! Suggestive content implies or implicates NSFW/a NSFW outcome, or is the aftermath of it, but does not showcase it itself. My regulations regarding NSFW/suggestive content of Hunter are as follows;
Do not create NSFW/suggestive content of him and real life people.
Do not create NSFW/suggestive content of him and fictional characters that aren't on my yumeship or yumefling lists.
Do not create NSFW/suggestive content of him as a way to bypass the 'don't thirst over me' rule. The content can be based off of things I've said on stream/on social media, but should be drawn and intended to be the character, not me as a person.
Content with anonymous/grayed out individuals is welcomed and preferred.
Content with him and my other OCs is welcome, but do not make NSFW/suggestive content with him and my other sonas.
Content with him and others' VTuber/YouTuber sonas is allowed, as long as it does not break the boundaries of the other. HOWEVER I would heavily prefer if we were asked for permission first, as I do not know every VTuber/YouTuber.
I would heavily prefer if he isn't drawn fully nude, or is at most retaining underwear, for the time being.
If he is partially nude/shirtless, give him top scars (customized scars very welcome). Alternatively, he can be drawn with small cups (pretty much as small as they can be, but noticeable). Don't draw them with the intent of being transphobic.
I am welcome to him being drawn with brown/blonde body hair when nude/partially nude!! Please note he is an otter like me, so don't overdo it. Also, I'd heavily prefer if he is given brown only hair on the torso in particular (other locations can have a mixture of blonde/brown; free reign for the artist). And give that man a happy trail!!! I have one too!!!
Drawing him with body hair is not an absolute requirement, but it'd make me happy, lol.
Do not draw/write NSFW/suggestive content of Hunter in his overglowed state /srs. Hunter has a severe lack of control and awareness in this state and cannot consciously consent. This content will thus be considered rape/non-con/assault by me.
With all my kinsonas and general sonas, please do not ship them with fictional characters that aren't on my yumeship list. I generally am not comfortable of NSFW/suggestive content being made of these ships either. Several of my sonas (and "sonas" that are more OC than sona) also have specific universes that they come from where they are shipped with very specific characters. They also come with their own boundaries and exceptions as a result, which are as follows;
Do not ship Candy Punk Cookie with non-Cookie Run characters. Note that I am generally iffy about shipping them with all my CR yumeships, so I would heavily prefer if they are just shipped with their canonical partner Prune Juice Cookie.
They can be shipped with Lychee Dragon Cookie on specific occasions, primarily during updates involving the dragons.
I'm open to them being shipped with Crème Brûlée Cookie, but not on his own. I heavily prefer if both he and Prune Juice Cookie are drawn with Candy Punk Cookie, as that is their potential future canon.
NSFW content is okay, however Candy must be the sub when drawn with Lychee, and they switch with Prune. I am not comfortable with NSFW of Candy and Crème Brûlée at the moment.
Do not ship Revolver with any Murder Drones characters aside from N. DO NOT DRAW NSFW OF THEM /SRS.
If drawing Hunter as any of his Fields of Mistria based outfits, please only ship him with the male romance candidates.
It is heavily preferred if he is drawn with March, as I plan to marry him when marriage is added to the game. I highly prefer if he is drawn with Eiland and Balor as well, as Eiland was the first character I romanced and I became extremely attached to Balor through his heart events.
NSFW content is okay, and he can switch in most relationships. However, he must be the sub with Hayden and Caldarus, and be the dom with Balor. Please do not make NSFW with him and Caldarus's dragon form.
Please do not draw Moxie, Strange Smile, Zero Sunlight, Calware, Gerda, Hornet, or Tranquil shipped with anyone.
Note that Strange Smile's Warriors counterpart, Falsepromises, can only be drawn shipped with Reverievows.
Calware, Hornet, and Tranquil are a polycule, and can be drawn shipped with eachother, but not with anyone outside of it.
Although not shipped with any fictional characters, please do not draw Laverne shipped with anyone, except for Lambi's ROBLOX avatar as they are featured in our anniversary screenshots on its page.
Although not technically considered a sona, Kel / PRIME is an OC that has represented me online since I was a child. Xey are very important to my online history, so I still lovingly refer to xem as my My Little Pony sona. As such, please do not draw xem shipped with anyone except for Canvas Cloud.
Please do not make NSFW/suggestive content of Kel and Canvas Cloud /srs. This is both because of the two being My Little Pony characters, and because Canvas Cloud is a kinsona representative of one of my alters. We are not comfortable with that kind of content being made about us.
Although no longer considered sonas of mine, Moose Tracks and Alvin are still very close to me because of their histories as my mascots and VTuber characters. Please do not draw them shipped with anyone.
They are dating in their universe, and can be shipped with eachother, but not with anyone else.
Alvin is the fiance of Bell, and can be shipped with them as well, but please do not ship Moose and Bell.
Hunter can be drawn and/or shipped with anyone on my yumeship list, aside from the above mentioned fandoms for my other sonas. Please do not romantically involve him with any of my yumeflings; they are explicitly listed as characters with which NSFW can be drawn/written, and I have no romantic interest in them.
Unless otherwise specified, please do not drawn any of my sonas shipped with any of my OCs or my other sonas.
As a joke, Hunter can be drawn shipped with Anastasia, because I used to have a major crush on her when I was a kid and thought I was a lesbian. However, it's heavily preferred if this joke ship is drawn with Kelsaline or White Vanilla.
Please do not draw Hunter as a full furry/human or remove his blush marks. I am open to him being drawn in almost any fashion, including in different outfits/in cosplays, as long as his original biology (all four ears & tail, fully furred legs with paws) is respected.
If he's being drawn in his Fields of Mistria outfits, only his ears are required to be drawn because of the universe he's in. His tail is optional and/or can be sized down if the artist chooses. His perked ears are hidden in his bandana, but his drooping pair is always visible. This form can also optionally be drawn with white wings.
