In the process of creating such a thorough universe of comics with so many characters and so many storylines, I inevitably came up with ideas along the way for pictures and poems and stories and songs and a mixed-up jumble of miscellaneous material that didn't ever go anywhere in terms of becoming fully fleshed-out comics. Soon, I was enthusiastically churning out an average of 1.7 pages per day. Eventually it got a point where I was coming up with so much, it dwarfed the actual comics in terms of content! This is a collection of it all, from story ideas in progress to notes from me as the author and snapshots behind the scenes to silly and fun imaginings of delightful hypotheticals.
What would the characters wear as their Halloween costumes? And what styles of fashion do they have when it comes to pajamas? What are the call signs of Trisha's wingmen when she was in the USAF? And what service medals did she earn? How did I come up with characters' names, anyway? How long does it take me to create a comic, and what's the hardest part? It's all here! Consider this a sketchbook of ideas and pictures and words and notes from me that supplement the official comics and stories. None of this is required reading to understand the comics; it's just bonus fun stuff and side material, only if you're interested. (And by default, none of it is officially canon, unless it says so in the entry itself.)
All of these behind the scenes entries are kind of written as though they are blog posts for a wider Internet audience (you! thanks for reading!). They range in length from a short paragraph to over a dozen pages.
🔆 Psst! Scroll down all the way to the end to see some sneak peeks at what the behind the scenes entries look like! 🔆
Note: This collection was originally intended to be one ginormous Google Doc with a contents page where people could click on an item in the contents and it would automatically jump down to where it was, and people could also scroll around without using the internal links to get a random sampling of stuff. That idea fell through when the amount of stuff that was going to be on there exceeded the maximum word count a Google Doc could support. Whoopsies. (In case you're curious, that point was when it reached over 1.5 million characters across 687 pages. The total amount of behind the scenes material is probably even more now!) So, I simply filched the contents and put it here, with a handy-dandy numbering system, so you can fill out the author contact form and tell me which entries you'd like to read like you're ordering from a menu, and I'll email you the PDFs of each entry, or share a link to a Google Doc. One day when I have enough time, I'll finally get around to putting buttons in this list with direct links to the file of each and every entry here. Fingers crossed!
⚠️ Caution: I tried to put a few content warnings in place on this contents page, but be aware that in general, much of this behind the scenes content was made for a teenaged and older audience in mind, with slightly looser censoring than the rest of this universe. There may be swear words and other less appropriate material throughout (on the level of a character in a bathing suit posed suggestively; nothing here is explicitly NSFW), and some of them have dark, violent or sad situations, including a few that reference suicide. (If you like, you can tell me in the form if there's content you don't want to be exposed to, and I'll make sure you don't get any as best I can.)

Flower emoji at the end 💮 = Legacy entry, something that was made at the very beginning of the Cloud Run universe.
A feather emoji 🪶 after a behind the scenes entry means that a corresponding version of it is also available for the Crane & Sword universe, in addition to the Cloud Run universe (or that its content overlaps with the Crane & Sword universe in some way).
