This Privacy Policy explains how Cloudkeep: Cloud Photo Storage ("Cloudkeep", "the app", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use the Cloudkeep app for iPhone and iPad. Cloudkeep is published by Rehman Ullah, an individual developer based in Pakistan, who is responsible for your information as the data controller.

We store the photos, videos, documents and contacts you choose to back up, so we can keep them for you and let you restore them.
We do not sell your personal information, show ads in the iOS app, or track you across other companies' apps and websites.
You can delete individual files, or your whole account and its backups, at any time from inside the app.
Sign in with Apple: a unique user identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address (which may be an Apple private relay address).
Google sign-in: your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account.
Email sign-in: your email address and a password (the password is handled by Firebase Authentication and is never visible to us).
Guest use: an anonymous account identifier, so you can start without signing in and upgrade later.
Any name or profile picture you set in the app.
Photos and videos you select from your photo library, including the original files and their metadata (such as file name, size, creation date and, if present in the file, location information embedded by your camera).
Documents you import from the Files app.
Contacts you choose to back up, including names, phone numbers and other details stored in those contact cards.
Access to your photo library, contacts and camera is requested through the standard iOS permission prompts and is only used for the features described here. Browsing your library, showing thumbnails and finding large files or possible duplicates for the storage cleaner happen on your device; only items you back up are uploaded.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment card details. We receive your subscription status, product, purchase and renewal dates and transaction identifiers through Apple and our subscription provider RevenueCat, linked to your Cloudkeep account identifier.
App usage events (for example, which screens are opened), app version, device model, iOS version, language and approximate country, collected through Google Firebase Analytics.
Crash reports and performance diagnostics, collected through Firebase Crashlytics.
Technical identifiers needed to deliver configuration settings (Firebase Remote Config) and to operate the service, such as an app instance identifier.
We do not use the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA) and do not ask for permission to track you.
To create and manage your account and sign you in.
To store, list, preview and restore the content you back up.
To provide the free plan and Premium subscriptions, including storage limits and restoring purchases.
To keep the app working: fixing crashes, improving performance and understanding which features are used.
To respond to your support requests and send service messages (for example, upload progress notifications on your device).
To prevent misuse and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use the content of your photos, videos, documents or contacts for advertising, profiling or to train machine-learning models.
We process your information to perform our contract with you (providing the service you sign up for), on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the app (such as crash reporting and usage analytics), with your consent where required (such as access to your photos and contacts, which you can withdraw in iOS Settings), and to comply with legal obligations.
We share information only with service providers that process it on our behalf to run Cloudkeep:

Our service providers may store and process information in countries other than yours, including the United States and the European Union. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by these providers, such as standard contractual clauses.

Email us to exercise these rights; we will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls and reputable cloud infrastructure providers. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Cloudkeep is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
