Inode in simple terms is how many files you can upload in your hosting cPanel, Godaddy has very limited inode and that is the reason that developer needs to find alternate solution for hosting. For popular hosting like hostgator inode limit is up to 250k so make sure just unlimited hosting is not unlimited if you reach your inode limit. Some hosting are also providing true unlimited inodes in their plans.
