The robotics club for Brookline High has been around since the dawn of time. However, it was only in 2022 that competitions such as Botball were initialized through funding and collaboration of the Brookline Robotics Initiative. Even so, through the work and effort of various students past and new, many have decided to branch out and explore new opportunities besides the traditional curriculum Brookline High usually offers, often limited to many interested in many STEM fields including computer science, robotics, and engineering. Although there are a few exceptions in which opportunities are made available for many to excel in these core fields through outside work, we want to offer a new path that hinders the limits that many people feel take place by actively being involved in school activities and events. Many moments are presented to learn the topics regarding these fields passively, but many find few opportunities available to apply them to the outside world, which is crucial to test your knowledge and mastery of certain skill sets that could be used in future careers.
