Why FIRST?

According to 2023 studies, FIRST Alumni are more likely to be invested in majoring in a STEM-related field than other students. 81% of alumni declared a STEM major in college as opposed to 64% from typical groups. In general, it has been concluded that they are twice as more likely to show an increase in participation in STEM-related activities or interests and these benefits are evident regardless of race, income, gender, or community type.

What is FTC?

While FLL (FIRST Lego League) is focused on developing and exploring topics within the elementary and middle school levels, FTC (First Tech Challenge) is focused on providing late middle school students and general high school students with designing, operating, and strategizing more advanced robotics through numerous additional factors. Unlike FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition), FTC provides a more welcoming environment to students interested in becoming involved in a robotics team without much technical experience or a huge payment installation. FTC consists of teams that are largely maintained by students with guidance from adult coaches or mentors.

We're Brookline students motivated to cultivate a network of communities interested in robotics just like us! Even so, team 26181 tries to maintain quality with their work through exceptional care and effort and offers no compromise with their ideals through the competitions that we partake in. Our team stresses the importance of diversifying skills while maintaining quality and lessons for all.
