Cloquet Fourth of July Parade Instructions

For those of you who are new to the Cloquet Fourth of July Parade, here are the basics:

If you haven’t already registered, you will need to fill out a parade registration form and have your proof of vehicle insurance card ready. We also ask for a $20 donation (for those registering day-of), which goes toward the cost of the Fourth of July Celebration. Registration forms can be downloaded here.

The parade begins at 11 a.m. and travels down Cloquet Avenue from 18th to 8th Street, where you will turn down the hill and exit on Avenue B.

The parade line up starts at 9:45 am on both sides of Cloquet Avenue between 18th and 22nd Streets. With the exception of military, veterans and fire trucks (who line up on both sides of 18th Street) line up is first-come, first in line.

Cloquet Avenue, between 22nd and 18th Streets, will be barricaded from 9:30 a.m. on, with space for parade participants to line up. Please try to arrive and line up by 10:30 a.m. if possible, although latecomers are welcome.

If nature calls while you’re waiting in the parade lineup there will be a portable toilet at the front of the parade lineup on the NW corner of 18th Street and Cloquet Avenue.

Please be aware that runners in the One-Miler race will be coming through the parade lineup area at about 10:45 a.m.

We won’t decide to postpone or cancel because of weather until between 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., and if it’s not lightning then, the parade will proceed as scheduled. We are hoping Mother Nature will be kind to us but bring your raincoats, just in case. Keep an eye on our Facebook page: Cloquet 4th of July Festival for updates.
