Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 21, 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
Welcome to Alarm Clock, an Android application developed by Photos Media Apps (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
Alarm Clock is a simple alarm clock app that includes snooze, multiple clocks, stopwatch, and other alarm tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.
We designed the App so that it does not require you to create an account or provide personal information. Most data recovery and settings operations are performed locally on your device.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Alarm Clock app available on Google Play and is written to comply with Google Play Developer Program Policies (including User Data and Data Safety requirements), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).
By downloading, installing, or using Alarm Clock, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
Alarm Clock does not require you to create an account or provide personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or payment card details.
Any alarms, settings, preferences, or related data you create are stored locally on your device using Room Database and DataStore. This data never leaves your device through our application.
We do not collect, store, or transmit your contact list, photos, files, or other personal content.
Limited technical and usage information may be processed by third-party services we integrate (described in Sections 6 and 7) solely for the purposes of analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, and advertising. These services operate under their own privacy policies.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process limited data only when one of the following legal bases applies:
Consent – for example, when you grant optional permissions (notifications, exact alarms) or interact with advertisements.
Legitimate interests – to keep the App stable (crash reporting), improve features (analytics), and deliver relevant ads.
Contractual necessity – to provide the core alarm, stopwatch, and clock functions you request.
Legal obligation – when we must comply with applicable law.
You may withdraw consent at any time by changing device permissions or uninstalling the App.
4. Permissions We Use in Our App and Why
Alarm Clock requests only the permissions necessary for its core functions. Below is a clear explanation of each permission and why it is needed:
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM and USE_EXACT_ALARM
Required so that alarms ring at the precise time you set. Without these permissions, the system may delay or skip alarms.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13 and later)
Used to display alarm, snooze, and reminder notifications so you are alerted even when the App is in the background.
USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT
Allows the App to show a full-screen alarm interface over the lock screen when an alarm rings, ensuring you can see and dismiss or snooze the alarm quickly.
VIBRATE
Enables the device to vibrate when an alarm rings, providing an additional alert method.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE and FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE
Keep the alarm ringing service running reliably in the background so the alarm continues to sound until you interact with it.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED
Allows the App to automatically re-schedule all active alarms after your device restarts, so your alarms are not lost.
REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS
Prevents aggressive battery optimization from delaying or blocking alarms, which is critical for a reliable alarm clock.
WAKE_LOCK
Wakes the device and turns the screen on when an alarm rings so you can see the alarm interface.
INTERNET
Required for Firebase services (Analytics, Crashlytics, and Cloud Messaging) and for loading advertisements.
You can manage or revoke most of these permissions at any time through your device’s Settings → Apps → Alarm Clock → Permissions. Revoking certain permissions (especially exact alarm and notifications) may reduce the reliability of the App’s core features.
5. Data Storage and Security
All user-created alarms, settings, preferences, and related data are stored locally on your device using Room Database and Android DataStore.
We do not operate our own servers that store your personal alarm data. Because the data remains on your device, it is protected by the security features of your Android device (screen lock, encryption, etc.).
While we take reasonable technical measures to protect the App, no method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Third-Party Libraries & SDKs Used in Our App
We use the following third-party libraries and SDKs. Each is used only for the stated purpose:
Room Persistence Library (androidx.room)
Local database for storing alarms, settings, and preferences on your device. Data stays on the device and is never transmitted by us.
More information: Android Jetpack documentation.
Firebase (Google)
Firebase Analytics – collects anonymous usage data to help us understand how the App is used and improve it.
Firebase Crashlytics – collects crash reports and technical diagnostic data so we can fix stability issues.
Firebase Cloud Messaging – enables push notifications related to the App.

Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Google Mobile Ads (AdMob / AdX)
Used to display advertisements. These services may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads.
Google Advertising Policies and Privacy information: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Meta (Facebook) Audience Network
Used as an additional advertising network. Meta may collect certain device and usage information for ad delivery and measurement.
Meta Privacy Policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/
Other libraries (Koin, Lifecycle, ViewPager2, Fragment, Lottie, etc.) are open-source or standard Android libraries used only for app functionality and do not collect personal data.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third parties. We do not control their data practices.
7. Advertising, Analytics, and Tracking Technologies
Advertising
Alarm Clock displays ads provided by Google AdMob, Google Ad Exchange (AdX), and Meta (Facebook) Audience Network. These networks may use device identifiers, IP address, and interaction data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.
You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings (Google Settings → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization) or through the ad network’s own tools.
Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to collect aggregated, non-personal information about App usage (for example, which features are used most often). This helps us improve the App.
Crash Reporting
Firebase Crashlytics collects technical information when the App crashes so we can diagnose and fix problems.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The App itself does not use traditional browser cookies. However, third-party advertising and analytics SDKs may use similar technologies (such as advertising IDs or local storage) for the purposes described above. You can limit the use of advertising identifiers in your device settings.
9. Detailed Information on the Processing of Your Personal Data
Data processed by us: None that identifies you personally. Alarms and settings remain on your device.
Data processed by third parties: Device identifiers, advertising ID, approximate location (if provided by the ad network), crash logs, and aggregated usage statistics. These are processed under the respective third-party privacy policies.
Purpose: Provide reliable alarms, show relevant ads, improve stability, and analyze feature usage.
Sharing: We do not sell personal data. Limited non-personal information may be shared with Google and Meta solely for advertising, analytics, and crash reporting as described above.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
Local data (alarms, settings) remains on your device until you delete it inside the App or uninstall the App.
Third-party services retain data according to their own policies (typically for a limited period for analytics and advertising measurement).
To delete all App-related data from your device, simply uninstall Alarm Clock.
11. Payment Terms and In-App Purchases
Alarm Clock offers in-app purchases and paid subscriptions for premium features.
All payments and subscriptions are handled safely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, store, or see your payment details such as card information or Google account passwords.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel them before the next billing date. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime from your Google Play account settings. If you cancel, you will continue to enjoy premium features until the current billing period ends.
Purchase Information
Google may share limited, non-personal purchase details with us (such as subscription status or validity) so we can unlock premium features.
Refunds & Cancellations
All refund requests must be made through Google Play, following Google Play’s refund rules.
Third-Party Sharing
We do not share your purchase or subscription information with any third parties, except when required by Google for payment verification.
All in-app purchases and subscriptions follow the Google Play Terms of Service (https://play.google.com/about/play-terms/) and Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
12. User Rights Under GDPR
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland you have the following rights:
Access – Request information about data processed about you.
Rectification – Correct inaccurate data.
Erasure – Request deletion of data (uninstalling the App removes local data).
Restriction – Limit processing in certain cases.
Data portability – Receive data in a structured format where applicable.
Objection – Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Withdraw consent – At any time.
To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
13. User Rights Under CCPA/CPRA
If you are a California resident you have the right to:
Know what personal information is collected, used, or shared.
Request deletion of personal information.
Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell personal information).
Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
Because the App processes very limited data and most information stays on your device, many of these rights are exercised simply by managing permissions or uninstalling the App. For any additional requests, contact us.
14. “Do Not Track” (CalOPPA)
Some browsers and devices offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. The App does not currently respond to DNT signals because there is no consistent industry standard. You can still limit tracking through your device’s advertising and privacy settings.
15. International Data Transfers
Third-party services such as Firebase and advertising networks may process data on servers located outside your country (including the United States). These transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other mechanisms approved under applicable law. Google’s and Meta’s privacy policies provide further details.
16. Protection from Malware and Network Misuse
We design the App to function without requiring unnecessary network access beyond what is needed for Firebase services and advertisements. The App does not contain malware and does not misuse network resources. We recommend keeping your device and the App updated for the best security.
17. Links to Other Websites and Apps
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services (for example, privacy policy links). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.
18. Children’s Privacy
Alarm Clock is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
19. Compliance with Legal Obligations and Law Enforcement
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Photos Media Apps, our users, or others.
20. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
