This Privacy Policy explains how CleanSort: Storage Cleaner ("CleanSort," "we," "our," or "us") handles information when you use the CleanSort Android application and its related services (collectively, the "App").
By installing or using the App, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. You can manage granted permissions through Android settings at any time.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to CleanSort and its cache cleanup, large-file handling, screenshot cleanup, app management, and network activity functions. It does not govern third-party websites or services that maintain separate privacy policies.
2. Information Accessed for App Functions
Depending on the function you choose and the permissions you grant, the App may access or process:
- Local files and file metadata, such as names, paths, types, sizes, and modification dates.
- Removable cache and temporary residual information used to prepare cleanup results.
- Saved screenshots and related metadata used for screenshot cleanup.
- Installed application information needed to display apps and support user-requested uninstallation.
- Network activity information used to display current upload and download activity.
- User selections and confirmations required to complete cleanup actions.
3. Device Permissions
CleanSort may request storage access, app-related access, notification access, network-state access, and foreground-service permissions when needed for a selected function. Permission access is limited to the feature for which it is requested. Revoking a permission may disable the related feature without preventing use of unrelated functions.
If the release build uses MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, it is used to scan relevant storage locations for supported cleanup items that cannot be handled effectively through narrower access methods. Files are removed only after user selection and confirmation.
If the release build uses a foreground service, an ongoing notification remains visible while the service displays network activity or provides access to confirmed cleanup functions.
4. On-Device Cleanup Processing
This draft assumes that core file scanning, classification, selection, and deletion operations are performed on the device. Personal files and screenshots are not intentionally uploaded as part of the core cleanup flow. This statement must be verified against the final application and every included SDK before publication.
5. Technical and Diagnostic Information
The release build may process limited technical information needed to operate and improve the App, such as device model, Android version, app version, language, crash information, diagnostics, and general feature-use events. The exact categories depend on the SDKs included in the published build.
6. How Information Is Used
Information may be used to:
- Provide the cleanup or management function selected by the user.
- Display storage items, installed apps, and network activity information.
- Complete user-confirmed file deletion or app uninstallation.
- Maintain stability, diagnose errors, and protect the App from misuse.
- Respond to support, privacy, or legal requests.
- Meet applicable legal obligations.
7. Third-Party Services
The final Policy must list every advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, cloud, customer-support, or other third-party service included in the release build, together with links to the providers' privacy policies.
Third-party service list:
- Google Analytics & AdMob: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Firebase: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Facebook: https://www.meta.com/privacy/policy
- AppLovin: https://www.applovin.com/privacy
Those providers may process technical information under their own terms. CleanSort's Google Play Data safety form must accurately reflect both first-party and third-party data practices.
8. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal files. Information may be disclosed to service providers used in the release build, when required by law or valid legal process, to protect users or the App, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or transfer of business assets.
9. Data Retention
Files stored on the device remain under the user's control unless the user chooses to remove them. Technical, diagnostic, support, or other transmitted information, if collected by the final build, should be retained only for the period reasonably necessary for its stated purpose, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or security.
10. User Choices and Rights
Users can review and revoke App permissions through Android settings. Depending on local law, users may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent for personal information processed outside the device. Requests can be sent to the contact address below.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. No application, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
12. International Processing
If information is transmitted to a service provider located outside the user's country or region, applicable safeguards should be used as required by law.
13. Children's Privacy
CleanSort is not directed to children under 13 or the higher minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The target-audience setting and SDK configuration must match the final Google Play release.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App, legal requirements, or data practices. The updated version will display a revised Last Updated date.
