Legendary Creation ("we", "our", or "us") operates the ClipVault — Clipboard History Pro Chrome extension. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our extension.

1. Information We Collect

ClipVault is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect minimal data necessary to operate the extension.

Data stored locally on your device:

• Your clipboard history (text, links, code snippets, and other copied content) — stored entirely in Chrome's local storage on your device only

• License key (if you upgrade to Pro) — stored in Chrome's local storage on your device only

• Your Pro/Free plan status — stored locally to remember your plan

Data we do NOT collect:

• We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, or address

• We do not transmit your clipboard data to any server

• We do not collect browsing history or track the websites you visit

• We do not collect analytics, usage statistics, or telemetry data

• We do not use cookies or tracking technologies

• We do not collect IP addresses

2. How the Extension Works

ClipVault operates entirely within your browser. When you copy text, the extension saves it to Chrome's local storage on your device. All clipboard history, searching, filtering, pinning, and exporting happens locally. No clipboard data is ever sent to our servers or any third-party servers.

The only external network request the extension makes is during Pro license activation, where your license key is verified through Gumroad's API (see Section 3).

3. License Verification

When you activate a Pro license, your license key is sent to Gumroad's license verification API (api.gumroad.com) to confirm its validity. This is the only external request the extension makes. We do not operate our own servers for this process.

4. Permissions Explained

ClipVault requests the following Chrome permissions:

• activeTab: Required to read the clipboard content from the currently active tab when monitoring for new copies.
  
  

• scripting: Required to inject clipboard reading functionality into the active tab to detect newly copied content.
  
  

• storage: Required to save your clipboard history, pinned items, license key, and Pro status locally on your device.
  
  

• clipboardRead: Required to read the contents of your clipboard so the extension can save copied text to your local history.
  
  

• notifications: Required to optionally notify you about clipboard activity.
  
  

• alarms: Required to periodically check for new clipboard content in the background.
  
  

We request only the minimum permissions necessary for the extension to function.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your data with any third parties. Your clipboard history never leaves your device. The only external communication is the license verification request to Gumroad during Pro activation, as described in Section 3.

6. Data Storage and Security

All extension data (clipboard history, pinned items, license key, and plan status) is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API. This data never leaves your device except during the license verification process.

If you uninstall the extension, all locally stored data including your clipboard history is automatically removed by Chrome.

7. Children's Privacy

ClipVault does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The extension does not collect personal information from any users.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

9. Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device and we do not collect any data on our servers, you have full control over your data at all times. You can:

• Clear your entire clipboard history using the "Clear" button in the extension

• Delete individual clipboard items

• Deactivate your Pro license in Settings

• Uninstall the extension to remove all stored data

• Export your data using the Export feature (Pro)
