Clipitra Digital Services LLP ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled when you use the Clipitra PDF mobile application ("App").
This policy has been prepared according to Google Play requirements and based on a full review of the app’s source code.
We do not collect, store, or transmit personal data such as your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other personally identifiable information.
The App works fully offline. Documents, images, signatures, and related data remain stored only on your device unless you choose to export or share them.
The App requests certain permissions strictly to provide its core features:
Camera (android.permission.CAMERA)
Used for document scanning, PDF creation, and QR or barcode scanning.
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
Allows access to images or files already stored on your device.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 10 and below)
Used to save generated documents locally.
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES (Android 13 and above)
Allows access to gallery images.
MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 11 and above)
Required for advanced file management functions.
Permissions can be changed anytime in device settings.
The App does not include internet permissions, network access permissions, or advertising ID permissions. It makes no network requests.
No analytics, crash reporting, telemetry, or tracking tools are included. The App operates entirely offline.
Permissions are used only to support core functionality such as:
Scanning documents with the camera
Importing images from the gallery
Creating, editing, and managing PDFs
Extracting text using on-device OCR
Scanning QR codes and barcodes
Creating digital signatures
Organizing and searching documents
Sharing, exporting, or printing files
No data is transmitted externally during these operations.
All files and settings remain on your device:
SQLite Database (pdf_scanner.db)
Stores document details like file path, size, page count, and folder data. No personal information is stored.
SharedPreferences
Stores UI preferences such as themes or filters.
Device File Storage
Stores PDFs, images, signatures, and thumbnails.
No cloud syncing or remote storage is used.
Android’s built-in app sandbox protects your data from other apps. Keeping your device locked with a PIN, password, or biometric security is recommended.
Temporary files created during processing:
Automatically cleared at app startup
Limited to about 50 MB
Can be cleared manually from settings
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share data.
Data leaves your device only if you choose to export or share files.
Information may only be disclosed if required by law or to protect legal rights and user safety.
The App contains no advertisements, ad SDKs, or tracking technologies. Advertising ID permissions are not included.
You can fully control your data:
View, edit, or delete documents anytime
Export or share files when needed
Revoke permissions through device settings
Clear all data through Android settings
Reset preferences from within the app
Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all data
The App is suitable for general audiences. Since no personal data is collected, it can be safely used by minors with parental supervision.
The App is available globally. Since data stays on your device, no international data transfer occurs. This approach aligns with data minimization principles under privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Changes will be reflected in the App and on the policy page with a revised effective date.
