If you don't want to bother to do this step everytime just click on [ Download additional materials at launch ]. Everytime you will open Clip Studio it will automatically download new release materials.

Hello Nigel. The easiest way to import your 3D characters to CLIP STUDIO PAINT is:

1. Make sure your character models are FBX with rigging and that the model file is in the same folder with the textures (i.e., textures cannot be in a sub-folder). NOTE: if your rigging is not the same as the ones included with PAINT they can still be posed manually, but will not work with Poses dragged onto them.

2. Run CLIP STUDIO Paint and open an empty canvas.

3. Drag-and-drop the FBX model onto the canvas.

4. Make sure only the model is selected, then go to Edit --> Register as Material --> Image

5. Fill out the information in the "Material Property" dialog, click OK

6. The model should now appear in the Paint "Materials" panel (where-ever you organized it in the Material Property dialog)

If you want to EXPORT your creations from CLIP STUDIO PAINT there are three ways to do that:

a. Collect the FBX and texture files in one folder, ZIP it, and offer it as a download (if you want people to be able to edit/alter your characters), or...

b. In Paint drag the registered material from the "Materials" panel onto an empty canvas (so it is the only object), save it as a CLIP STUDIO FORMAT file (.lip for old version, .clip for new version). ZIP that file and let people download it, they can open it and register your model as a material in their Paint app (this is the simplest way to distribute materials and while people can use them, they can't edit them), or...

c. Follow the instructions above to find the actual registered material files in your Paint installation, collect multiple related models into a "Pack," ZIP it up and offer it as a download other users can install by dragging and dropping the whole pack into their Global Materials folder (again, they can use your creations, but cannot edit them).

Hope that helps!

1.1 Product

Product refers to Clip Studio Paint and Clip Studio, including all accompanying electronic data such as 3D data and images (collectively, "Materials," including any additional materials provided by Celsys), related data, samples, Documentation, and the latest version of the software, including updates, bug fixes, and corrections.

Clip Studio Paint comes with a library of Materials already in the program, and you can download additional materials made by other CSP users in the Clip Studio Assets. But what if you want to add your own illustrations and designs to the Materials library? Thankfully, this is a very easy process!

Now that we have the program installed, we're ready to launch it for the first time. On the initial launch, you will have the opportunity to download additional materials, enter and verify your serial number, or register to use the trial version. This is the last step before we can open the Clip Studio Paint program and begin exploring the interface, so let's get started.

I am very new to the ClipStudio world, actually right in the midst of the downloads process at the moment, and I was wondering if there is any documentation of what exactly is included in the "additional materials" offered by CELSYS, and are there options to download only selected portions of the given assets later on down line?

I couldn't figure out where various models and such were on the asset store, that were mentioned in books, and such. Today someone told me I had to goto "Download additional material now" from clip studio, and it probably downloaded 1gb of stuff. So cool.

Note: If there are more materials than there are sub-meshes, Unity renders the last sub-mesh with each of the remaining materials, one on top of the next. If the materials are not fully opaque, you can layer different materials and create interesting visual effects. However, fully opaque materials overwrite previous layers, so any additional opaque materials that Unity applies to the last sub-mesh negatively affect performance and produce no benefit.

Remember that infants and toddlers learn by exploring and putting objects in their mouths. It is important to carefully observe and use materials that are nontoxic and are not choking hazards. Also, close observation and care should always be taken when young children are playing with water. Please see the Infant and Toddler Safe Environments course for additional information on creating safe environments. 006ab0faaa
