2023 Canal Tours and Programs

The Clinton and Kalamazoo Canal Society will host tours of the Clinton and Kalamazoo Canal giving participants a glimpse into a piece of Michigan history.

Participants will be able to walk along what remains of parts of the canal, where some portions still contain water, and learn the history of the man-made waterway.  Wear appropriate clothes and footwear for all tours.  You may wish to bring water.

Tour Saturday,April 22, 2023 10 am - 4 pm

The tour will start at the Town Hall in the Clinton Township Village, 40700 Romeo Plank Road, Clinton Township. Participants will drive themselves to the various stops along the tour route and bring their own bag lunch.


The fee for the tour is $15 for Canal Society members and $20 for non-members, to be paid at the start of the tour.  Cash only please.
