Clint Hurshman

I am a postdoctoral research fellow in the Centre for Biomedical Ethics at the National University of Singapore. Prior to that, I completed a PhD in philosophy at the University of Kansas.

My present research focuses on the ethics of AI, particularly of personalized AI systems (e.g. "digital duplicates") and the intersection of AI ethics and moral psychology.

My dissertation research focused on artifact functions and their relation to functions elsewhere in the philosophy of science (esp. biology and social science).

I am also interested in the ethics of behavioral change techniques in medicine, privacy, feminist philosophy, and environmental ethics.

Outside of philosophy, I train in Brazilian jiu jitsu!
