BIO:

Dr. Liton Chakraborty is a visiting scholar in the School of Administrative Studies within the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies at York University, and also serves as an adjunct member of the Graduate Program in Disaster and Emergency Management. As a policy leader with the Government of Canada, his expertise lies in disaster risk reduction, environmental justice, and societal resilience. His award-winning research, which employs GIS, spatial econometrics, and GBA+ frameworks, contributes to the development of inclusive public policies. He holds a PhD in Geography, an MA in Economics, and an MSc in Business and Economics.
