Background

In climate change context, Indonesia has been the actor and the resource of the climate change in recent decades as well. Deforestation and other forms of land-use change has contributed for the increasing Global GHG emission. Of course, the impact to us dramatically and adversely affects sectors which are highly dependent on climate stability such as agriculture, water management, and fisheries.

Many researches showed evidences of existance of climate change in Indonesia. USAID (2016) predicted the cost of climate change of Indonesia will be around Rp132 trillion in 2050. We confidently agreed that climate change could not be avoided, even if all countries reduce emission as IPCC mentioned. Therefore, adaptation should be the major priority of climate resilience development particularly in developing contries.

United Nations with many parties have worked for adaptation building in many developing countries, including Indonesia. Of course, it absolutely depends on big and effective budgeting. Therefore, we proudly present an alternative way for adaptation building efficiently by mobilizing college students in Indonesia to conduct adaptation building projects and student-scale researches in each region. In addition, we highly are determined to spread awareness of climate change scientifically.
