Thank you for using "Click to Remove Element" ("the extension," "we," "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it.
We state clearly: This extension DOES NOT collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII). We do not track your browsing history, we do not log your searches, and we do not sell your data.
The extension needs to store your settings to function. This includes:
The CSS selectors of the elements you have chosen to hide.
A description of those elements for the UI panel.
All of this data is stored locally on your computer using the browser's chrome.storage.local API. This data is NEVER sent over the network and is only accessible by you and the extension on your machine.
storage: Necessary to save your element-hiding rules for the "Remember" feature (as described in Section 3).
activeTab: Necessary to allow the extension to run and interact with the tab you are currently viewing when you activate it.
content_scripts on <all_urls> (with "all_frames": true): Necessary to apply your saved rules and run the element-selection logic on any website you visit, including within iframes (which often contain ads).
We may update this policy in the future. Any changes will be posted on this page.
