The MIT community recognizes that climate change requires urgent sustained action.

Every January, MIT's creative energies are unleashed during the Independent Activity Period (IAP). It's a great time for building connections and pursuing passions old and new. And an ideal setting for building momentum on climate action.

ClimateX initiated CLIAP to help build a strong & engaged climate change community here at MIT.

• Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change
• MIT Energy Club

CLIAP courses run the gamut of climate change, from basic climate understanding to citizen science, climate policy and hackathons for visualizing climate data. These courses are free and open to the MIT community, and (unless otherwise stated) open to the public.
