Overview
What activities are usually conducted during weekly meetings? Well, usually, we start off by introducing the MUN procedures, which are namely HMUN and THIMUN. Next, we also give lectures regarding political and global issues happening now and world history lessons. The main objective is to imbue the members with general knowledge. After the members have gotten used to the rules of procedures and are already filled with abundant general knowledge, we will host internal conferences. This is particularly done to provide a brief sensation of an actual MUN conference for the members.
Internal Conferences
Internal conferences are conferences that are organized only for the members of the club that aims to simulate an actual UN conference where delegates from different countries and attempt to solve real world issues with the policies and perspectives of their assigned country. For example, a student may be assigned the United Kingdom and will have to solve global topics such as nuclear non-proliferation or climate change from the policies and perspectives of the United Kingdom.

Lectures
Lectures will be held to teach members regarding a myriad of topics. Topics of lectures include but are not limited to:
Current political affairs
Political history
Political Philosophy
UN structure and functions
Debates
Debate is a process that involves formal discussion on a particular topic. In a debate, opposing arguments are put forward to argue for opposing viewpoints. Debates will be held during weekly meetings to let members acquire better poise, speech delivery, and public speaking skills and enhance teamwork skills and collaboration. There are a bunch of debate procedures out there, however, we choose to use the Asian Parliamentary Debate procedures during our debates as it is a popular procedure in Malaysia.
CLMUN
Chung Ling Model United Nations is a annual Model United Nations external conference held by Chung Ling's very own MUN club. We aspire to introduce and spread the influence of MUN throughout the nation, starting with the schools in Penang, and gradually grow into an international conference, where experienced and inexperienced MUNers alike can socialize with each other and form deep, strong bonds. Most importantly, we aim to inspire a new generation of MUNers, with the confidence, passion, and ability to lead, as well as the enthusiasm to involve themselves with the global issues happening today.
After years of planning and delaying, CLMUN finally returned to the national MUN scene! CLMUN 2021 successfully garnered over 100 participants from schools, colleges and universities from all over Malaysia. Despite conducting CLMUN 2021 online, this did not hinder the participants from proactively engaging in heated debates and negotiations in the bid to make CLMUN 2021 a humongous success. Special thanks to a former committee of CLHSMUN, whom helped to organise the first CLMUN held, Goh Jun Yi for agreeing to be the esteemed guest speaker of CLMUN 2021, inspiring the hearts of many of the new generation of MUNers. We would once again wish to express our gratitude to all participants who were present.
Forced to move online due to the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic, CLHSMUN persisted resiliently through the rough times and has been fervently conducting online activities for its members. We believe that the change in environments will not affect the quality of our activities! Despite the acute change, numerous interactive activities such as public speaking training, quizzes as well as history lectures still took place. All thanks to our club directors!
