Mariana, a high school senior, is suddenly sucked into the fairytale land of Fairyvale by a book she was given for an English project. Things get a little weird when she is pulled into a tale with Jack of Jack and the Beanstalk. Weirder still, the book pulls her back to her home with Jack in tow. Soon, they discover Fairyvale is in danger, and they may be the only ones who can save it. Together, they must work together to figure out exactly what is going on, why the tales are mixing up, and what is happening to missing characters. Can they save a world Mariana never knew existed, or will they also fall prey to the evil plaguing Fairyvale?
