Activities

(November 16 in 2023) Daofeng joined the CSIC's science week activity as a main presenter and talked about low carbon energy generation, value-added fuel production and third generation biofuel productions that are connected with the current project.

(April 25, 2024) Daofeng Mei participated ICB's open day activity and communicates with high-school students about his research and project. Daofeng talked also about the pilot plant (with thermal power of 1.5kWth) for testing, evaluating and selecting suitable oxygen carrier materials for the MSCA project. The audiences were students from the high school “IES Río Gállego”. 

(July, 2024) Daofeng is organizing the Marie-Curie Project's first online workshop (confirmed date: September 16) with the theme of "Chemical Looping gasification: a new tool for 3rdG-biofuel generation" . The workshop brings the global community four speeches (by four speakers) and a panel discussion led by Prof. Tobias Mattisson (Chalmers University of Technology). Confirmed speakers are Prof. Ming Zhao (Tsinghua University), Dr. Silvia Morales de la Rosa (Instituto de Catálisis y Petroloquímica, ICP-CSIC), Dr. Ivana Staničić (Chalmers University of Technology), Dr. Daofeng Mei (Instituto de Carboquímica, ICB-CSIC). (August, 2024) The group welcomes Prof. Haibo Zhao´s visit on the 1st of August. Prof. Zhao is from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and a prominent scientist in the field of chemical looping. He and the “Combustion and Gasification (CyG)” at ICB have long-time collaborations in this area. During Prof. Zhao´s visit, the two parties held a series of activities including group seminars, presentations, laboratory tours and deep idea exchanges. The CyG and Prof. Zhao will work together to define dimensions for future collaborations

(September, 2024) The onlineworkshop welcomed speakers: Prof. Ming Zhao (Tsinghua University), Dr. Ivana Stanicic (Chalmers University of Technology) and Dr. Silvia Morales de la Rosa (Instituto de Catálisis y Petroleoquímica, ICP-CSIC), Dr. Daofeng Mei (ICB-CSIC), and attracted 71 participants from 21 countries, video recordings of the workshop were posted to public in the project´s website, YouTube channel and LinkedIn account

(April, 2025) Project coordinator Dr. Francisco García-Labiano visits back to Prof. Haibo Zhao´s group in Huazhong University of Science and Technology between 10th and 12th of April in 2025. Dr. García-Labiano delivers a speech on Chemical looping technolgy and presents R&D activities of the CLG-G3BioF project

(May, 2025) Daofeng Mei participates the ICB's open day and communicates with high-school students about my research and project. The students were from the high schools “IES Miralbueno”. Dr. Mei talked also about the MSCA project goals and presents the dedicated 1.5 kW pilot plant for oxygen carrier evaluation at TRL 3-4 levels

(November, 2025) Daofeng is organizing a new webinar, theme "Chemical Looping gasification: a new tool for 3rd generation-biofuel production", Focus: the CLG-G3BioF project´s progress, LCA and gasification kinetics.
