From Start to Finish: The Contractor's Journey to Lower Embodied Carbon
Event Description:
Embodied carbon requirements are becoming a standard part of project delivery, creating new responsibilities for contractors, manufacturers, and project teams. This 90-minute webinar features four industry leaders sharing practical lessons from procurement, field execution, material tracking, and project closeout. The presenters will discuss the drivers bringing carbon data into everyday construction workflows and demonstrate how project teams can collect, manage, and communicate emissions information throughout the construction process.
Participants will learn how contract documents can support carbon data management, how construction means and methods influence project emissions, and how to evaluate manufacturers and suppliers for credible environmental product declarations (EPDs) and other emissions data. Real-world case studies will highlight strategies for reducing embodied carbon while supporting project goals for cost, schedule, and performance.
Learning Objectives
Apply construction contract documents and specifications to establish procedures for collecting and managing embodied carbon data during construction.
Evaluate how construction means, methods, equipment, transportation, and material waste influence project emissions and identify opportunities for reduction.
Assess manufacturers and suppliers for their ability to provide credible environmental product declarations (EPDs) and other emissions-related documentation.
Develop a workflow for integrating embodied carbon considerations from procurement through project closeout and stakeholder reporting.

Paulina has led cross-functional efforts to advance environmental performance, implement ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 management systems, and drive reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, energy use, water consumption, and waste.
