If you are in crisis, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 9-8-8.
The Cleveland Psychiatric Society (CPS) was created in 1961 in an effort to promote collegiality among like-minded psychiatric clinicians in the Greater Cleveland area. As one of the Ohio Psychiatric Physicians Association's (OPPA) local affiliates, the CPS has evolved into a robust and active group.
The CPS has members at all levels of training: medical students, residents, fellows, and attending-level clinicians. Not exclusively academic, the CPS has many members who are community and private practice clinicians.
In the spirit of inclusion, providers with other clinical backgrounds, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses at all levels of practice are welcome to attend our meetings and events. We refer to these providers as "Friends of CPS."
