Cleveland Drama Company's 6th period class offers students multiple performance opportunities throughout the school year. From in-class scenes, to the DTASC (Drama Teachers' Association of Southern California) competition in the fall, to our musical in the spring, there is an abundance of learning experiences for students who have the space in their schedule. An audition or interview is required. Our 6th period class allows students to hone their skills in a welcoming and collaborative environment, producing meaningful art and having a great time creating it.
Drama Club, a subsection of Cleveland Drama Company, allows students who are not able to join the 6th period class to become involved with the program. Through the club, students are able to engage with the theater community at Cleveland and audition for our spring musical, connecting with Cleveland Drama Company and learning about the many aspects of putting on a show. Drama Club offers ample opportunities to get involved in the technical side of our productions as well, teaching students about all elements of production. In order to be eligible to audition for our spring musical, students must be active members of the Drama Club.
Community is at the forefront of Cleveland Drama Company, and this collaboration is led by our Theater Board. This group allows students to grow their leadership skills and be an active part of the decision-making, seeing what goes into putting on a show from a closer perspective.
