"That there could be a science of what we do, of who we are? How could you resist that?"
Donald Baer
Indeed I do
Right after undergrad, I learned that there were people whose job it was to systematically change the environment so that other people learned new things. It's been a bit of a fairy tale, career-identity wise, since then.
Fast-forwarding a bit...I'm board certified in behavior analysis at the doctoral level and have been privileged to do clinical work in a variety of public and private settings. I have particular expertise in the assessment and treatment of severe problem behavior in pediatric clients with developmental disabilities. These days, much of my behavior analytic zeal is channeled into graduate student support and professional development.
I am both a licensed psychologist (Maine) and a certified school psychologist (New Hampshire and Maine). In addition to content creation in the science-aligned psych space, I do clinical work with children and adolescents, mostly in educational settings providing psychological evaluations and severe behavior assessment/treatment/training.

Early foray into knowledge-seeking with my brother
I teach in multiple graduate programs in educational psychology, behavior analysis, and education (teacher preparation). I learn new things every semester! Currently I teach at the University of Southern Maine (click here for more info) and Iona University (click here for more info).
I've always liked the freedom/accountability associated with forging my own path, and at this stage of my career I'm very fortunate to be able to do exactly that - with the support of amazing colleagues, friends, and family. Whole books have been written, chock full of things I don't know yet about business - and that's really exciting. Click here for more about the organizations I (co)own or work with.

Kids are the best
I'm lucky to serve as a surrogate parent in the education process for several youth with disabilities who don't have a parent. Click here to learn more about the educational surrogate process, what the role entails, and my thoughts on collaboration with teams while in this role.
I really like hiking, running, and cycling (not tent camping though - yikes). I have also developed an affinity for indoor bouldering (which basically means paying money to scamper up walls). I've done a few ultramarathons and am chipping away at the NH 4000 footers. Don't ask me to swim in the deep end of the hotel pool though. I'll drown for sure.

Ah, Paris!
I am beyond lucky to have both French and USA citizenship, and to have had the opportunity to travel as extensively as I have. In addition to long stints in France, I have been to the Arctic Circle (technically still in Norway), Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and lots of countries in Europe. My favorite cities on earth are London and Copenhagen. If you haven't been, I HIGHLY recommend.
