1. Overview

ClearIQ ("we", "our", or "the app") is an adaptive cognitive assessment application available on the Google Play Store. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

We are committed to being transparent. This policy is written in plain English so you understand exactly what happens with any data related to your use of ClearIQ.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

ClearIQ asks for one piece of information during onboarding:

•       Age group (e.g. 18–24, 25–34) — used only to apply the correct psychometric age norm for your IQ estimate. This is selected locally on your device and is never transmitted to any server.

2.2 Information We Do NOT Collect

ClearIQ does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

•       Your name, email address, or any account credentials

•       Precise age, date of birth, or any biometric data

•       Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or IP addresses by us

•       Location data

•       Microphone, camera, or contacts access

•       Any personally identifiable information (PII)

2.3 Data Stored On-Device Only

All session data — including your scores, domain breakdowns, and test history — is stored exclusively on your device using AsyncStorage (local storage). This data:

•       Never leaves your device

•       Is not backed up to any cloud service by ClearIQ

•       Is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app

3. Advertising — Google AdMob

ClearIQ displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect certain data to serve relevant ads. This data collection is governed entirely by Google's own privacy policies, not by ClearIQ.

Data that Google AdMob may independently collect includes:

•       Advertising ID (GAID) — a resettable device identifier

•       Approximate location (country/region level)

•       Device type and OS version

•       Ad interaction data (views, clicks)

ClearIQ does not receive, access, or store any of the data collected by Google AdMob. We have no control over Google's data practices.

4. Children's Privacy

ClearIQ is designed for users aged 10 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from any user, including children under 13 (COPPA) or children under 16 (GDPR).

Since we collect no personal data ourselves, and all assessment data remains on-device, ClearIQ is inherently compliant with COPPA and GDPR-K requirements for our own data practices.

Note: Google AdMob's data collection for users under 13 is subject to Google's Families Policy. If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns, please contact us at the address below.

5. Your Rights

Since ClearIQ does not collect or store any personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete on request.

For data collected by Google AdMob, you may exercise your rights directly with Google via their Privacy Policy or by adjusting your device advertising settings.

To delete all locally stored app data (scores, history, preferences), simply uninstall ClearIQ from your device.

6. Data Security

Because ClearIQ does not transmit personal data to any server, the risk of a data breach involving your personal information from ClearIQ is minimal. All data remains within your device's secure local storage.

7. Third-Party Services

ClearIQ integrates only with Google AdMob for advertising. We do not integrate with any other third-party analytics, tracking, social media SDKs, or data brokers.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this document. Significant changes will be communicated via an in-app notice.

Continued use of ClearIQ after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

9. Assessment Disclaimer

This is an estimated cognitive profile for self-awareness and curiosity only. It is NOT a clinical IQ score and must not be used for medical, educational, or employment decisions.
