"Belynda B. Cleare, what an amazing show last night! You had us laughing so hard and you brought back so many memories for us all...wonderful time :) You are so talented, funny, beautiful, intelligent, down to earth and centered all at the same time. I look forward to seeing you again. Namaste, my friend ❤️"
"Just got off the phone with my Mom who had to call to tell me all about your show last night and she was laughing so hard that she was having trouble telling me about it. She said it was the best laugh she has had in years! From the sounds of it you have not changed a bit.....so sorry I missed it Belynda B. Cleare! Enjoy the rest of your time home...there is no place like it! XO"
"Thanks. Loved catching up with you Saturday. Your comedy does what James Baldwin said all good writing should do, "Cut to the bone.“ Yet, somehow you do this and more. You do what Mark Twain and Alexander Pope did when they wanted the public to look in the mirror and see not what it wanted to see, but what what was really there. I am looking forward to your workshop August 17, at the Lewes Creative Writers' Conference. :)"
"Our annual festival, Women’s Work, always brings a wide variety of art to our theatre. We have had some very funny/strange things on our stage over the past 12 years, including a couple of clown acts and an aerial act. For me, the funniest, and one of my favorites, was a one-woman show by Belynda Cleare about growing up Black in rural Nova Scotia. Her journey of self-discovery was charming, poignant, and hysterically."
"Belynda! Saw you perform tonight. My friends and I (5 of us older single women in the back) absolutely loved your show. We hadn't laughed that hard in quite a while. Ironically, my husband died suddenly over 11 years ago from the "widow maker" as well, so that struck a chord with me. I'm so sorry for your loss. Laughter does indeed help one cope with grief. I hope that doing comedy brings you as much joy as you give to others."
"Belynda, just wanted to let you know how much we loved your show at Weathered Vinyards on Friday night. You were brilliant 😂"
"Absolutely informative with clarity."
"Belynda, you are such a talent. We have seen so many comedy shows in Atlantic City and I just didn’t want your show to end. Wishing you a lifetime of success. Keep making people laugh—it’s such a talent. So glad we got to see and meet you."
"Excellent, thank you! Most dynamic presenter we've ever had, a lot of great information I can use for my clients in myself."
