Public Transportation

Though it may not be as luxurious as having your own car, increased public transportation is a great way to take privately owned vehicles off the street. Having an efficient subway system in NYC is such a great positive contribution to transportation.

I took this picture because it shows how populated the city of New York is, which makes it even more necessary to have clean streets and clean air.

This picture I took from my friends apartment from the 19th floor, I was so amazed with how beautiful the city had looked.

In this picture there seems to be many forms of public transportation on the roads and less commercial trucks which is good for limiting air pollution. If only every vehicle on the road was electric, there would be much less pollution in the greatest city of the world.

I took this picture to show the measurement of 2 trucks on a city street and how much room they take up, sure does take a lot of fuel to get these big boys to run.

The trucking industry will never disappear because the world needs to receive its goods somehow. This can be viewed as a weakness in large cities like New York because their are always thing coming in and being sent out on trucks.

In order for the city to keep the streets clean, they require on certain days parking on alternate sides so that they can do an efficient job sweeping the streets of all litter. This is an effective system that is brought upon New Yorkers, and if you dont move your car you get a ticket.

I took this picture to show how dirty the streets of NYC can a lot of the time get. Makes you think where does it all go?

Leaving garbage on the streets like this will not only give the streets a dirty look but it also may give the streets a foul odor. You know that refreshing breath of air you take when you step outside? Might have a different experience waking up in NYC.

I took this picture because it captures how beautiful the city can look when it is clean. The city is always so beautifully decorated around Christmas time.

Places like these set great examples as to how the rest of the city should look. It almost looks fact as to how clean it is. Supporting the cleanliness of a community is very important.
