Clean Energy for All (CEFA), founded in 2018, is an organization that champions climate friendly initiatives in the public and private sectors. CEFA believes that the environment is an important aspect of everyday life and requires both public and private solutions to tackle the challenges of climate change.
Currently there exist no major Canadian owned manufacturer of EVs, which has lead to a long waitlist, high prices, and lack of supply for Canadian consumers. Consumers are affected by the EV shortage and EV prices as they are forced to buy traditional fossil fuel powered vehicles. This problem needs to be solved because people still need cars to get from a-b, and we can’t afford to have fossil fuel car sales continuing beyond 2035.
A world where Canada is once again seen as an industry leader in the production and manufacturing of their own products. A world where Canadian products dominate the EV space. Through manufacturing, Canada will support a greener environment, and have significant impact on the number of gas powered vehicles on the road.
There is a dual crisis holding Canada back from meeting our climate targets. We need to transition to EVs as quickly as possible; people are both unable to afford an EV due to cost, and unable to purchase an EV due to supply shortages. Our plan will solve this crisis.
We are calling on Canadians to demand the federal government create a publicly owned solution to the EV crisis. Getting the feds to create an EV crown corp will address the supply/cost problem with EVs. Our role is to encourage Canadians to engage with our campaign and show them how a crown corporation will address our current EV woes.
