Clean Sweep Plus requests permissions solely to support its core file management and cleaning features. Permissions are triggered only by specific user actions. We do not access device data silently or in the background without your knowledge.

android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

This permission is requested when you tap to view file directories or file categories on devices running Android 11 and below. It allows the app to read files stored in external storage so they can be displayed and analysed for cleaning purposes.

android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

On Android 11 and below, this permission is triggered when you enter file directories and choose to manage or clean files. It enables writing or deleting files from external storage strictly based on your selection.

android.permission.MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

On Android 11 and above, this permission is requested when you access file browsing or storage management features. It allows the app to read and manage files across external storage in compliance with Android system requirements.

android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS

On Android 13 and above, this permission is requested when you first enter the splash screen. It is not requested again upon entering the main screen. This permission allows the app to display service-related notifications, such as cleaning progress or important system updates. Notifications are optional and can be disabled at any time in system settings.

android.permission.PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS

On Android 6 and above, this permission is requested when you tap to obtain cache information while cleaning junk files. It allows access to application usage information so that cache size and app activity can be identified accurately. This permission requires manual approval in device settings.

android.permission.GET_PACKAGE_SIZE

This permission does not require a user request. It applies only to Android versions below 6, where the system provides application size information when supported.

android.permission.CLEAR_APP_CACHE

This permission does not require manual approval. On Android versions below 6, it allows the system to clear application cache data as part of cleaning operations initiated by you.

android.permission.REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES

This permission does not require separate approval. It is used only when you choose to uninstall another application from within the app management page. The final uninstallation is always completed through the Android system confirmation interface. Clean Sweep Plus does not remove any application automatically or without your explicit action.
