I'm Emilie, a former math and science teacher and current stay-at-home wife and mother of two.  I am filled with gratitude to call the lowcountry home!

     Almost six years ago, I began a journey into health that quickly became a passion of mine.  I take my role as 'gatekeeper of the home' seriously and try my best to be intentional about every product that comes in contact with my family, whether it is food, skincare, cleaning supplies, diapers, car seats, clothing, you name it! While perfect is never the goal, becoming an informed consumer has given me so much confidence as I fulfill my most important roles: wife and mother. 

     Clean cakes began in order to fill a need for better choices here in Charleston.  We vote with our dollars, and we should have the opportunity to demand better. When I looked at the ingredient labels on grocery store cakes, I couldn't believe how many ingredients were listed and how many of them that I recognized as harmful to our health.  So, I took my love of baking, instilled by my grandmother, and I taught myself how to bake the most delicious cakes with the cleanest ingredients and how to decorate with classic clean designs.
