Storage Cleaner Privacy Policy

Storage Cleaner helps you free up storage space and manage installed applications. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app, including its cleaning tools, App Manager, foreground services, and advertising features.

In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the team responsible for Storage Cleaner.

Your Files Stay on Your Device

Storage Cleaner processes files and storage information locally to provide its scanning and cleanup features. This may include file names, paths, types, sizes, and modification dates.

We use this information to organize scan results and help you identify files you may want to remove. You select the files to delete and confirm the cleanup action.

Your files, file information, and scan results are not uploaded to our servers or shared with advertising providers.

Access to Shared Storage

Storage Cleaner requests All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) to scan and manage files in shared-storage locations outside the app’s own directory, subject to Android’s restrictions.

This access supports the app’s storage cleanup and file management features. It does not provide unrestricted access to other apps’ protected private data.

You can revoke this access through Android settings at any time. Features that depend on it may become limited or unavailable.

Information Used by App Manager

The App Manager accesses installed application information so you can view and manage apps on your device. This can include application names, package names, icons, and version information.

Storage Cleaner uses the QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission to discover installed applications for this feature. Installed application information is processed locally and is not uploaded to our servers, sold, or shared for advertising or analytics monetization.

When you choose to uninstall an application, Android handles the uninstall confirmation. This permission does not allow Storage Cleaner to silently uninstall applications.

Tasks That Continue in the Background

Storage Cleaner uses foreground services to continue a scan or cleanup task you started when you switch away from the app. A foreground service runs on your device; it does not mean that your files are being processed on a remote server.

An ongoing notification keeps you informed about the task. The service runs only for the requested operation and stops when the operation completes or is cancelled.

Where notification permission is requested, it is used to display task status and related updates.

Advertising

Storage Cleaner displays advertisements provided by third-party advertising services.

Depending on the advertising service and your privacy settings, these services may collect or receive information such as your IP address, advertising identifier, device and operating-system information, ad interactions, and diagnostic data. An IP address may also be used to estimate a general location.

Advertising services may process this information outside your device to deliver advertisements, measure performance, prevent fraud, and maintain their services. Their handling of this information is governed by their privacy policies and applicable law.

The local-processing statements in this policy apply to your files, scan results, and installed application inventory. They do not mean that advertising services operate entirely offline.

You can manage available advertising privacy controls through your Android or Google settings. Where consent is required, it must be obtained before the relevant advertising processing takes place.

No Account Required

Storage Cleaner does not provide account registration or require you to sign in. We do not maintain a Storage Cleaner account profile for you.

You do not need to provide your name, email address, or login credentials to use the cleaning and app management features.

If you contact us voluntarily, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you send. We use that information to respond and resolve your request. Please avoid sending sensitive files unless they are necessary to explain your issue.

Retention and Deletion

Files remain on your device unless you choose to delete them. Any scan information, preferences, or other operational data saved by Storage Cleaner is stored locally.

You can remove the app’s local data through Android’s app settings. Uninstalling Storage Cleaner removes its app-specific local data, subject to Android’s storage and backup behavior. Neither action is intended to delete your other files in shared storage.

Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any necessary follow-up, or to meet applicable legal obligations. You may contact us to request its deletion.

Advertising providers apply their own retention and deletion practices. Clearing Storage Cleaner’s local data does not automatically delete information already processed by those providers.

Sharing and Security

We do not sell your files, scan results, or installed application inventory. These locally processed materials are not provided to advertising services.

Information you send when contacting us may be processed by the email service used to handle your request. We may disclose information we hold if required by applicable law or a valid legal request.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. However, no device, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your Privacy Choices

You can revoke storage permissions, manage notifications, adjust available advertising settings, clear local app data, or uninstall Storage Cleaner.

Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information we hold, or to object to certain processing. Contact us using the email address below to exercise these rights.

Because your cleaning data stays on your device, we cannot remotely retrieve or delete it for you.

Children’s Privacy

Storage Cleaner is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Policy Updates

We may update this policy as the app or our information practices change. The revised version will display a new effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent for relevant changes.
