Sit in a comfortable position. Breathe in and out fully and imagine God before, around, and within you like the air that fills you.
Try your best to quiet and focus your mind. Use candles or instrumental music if helpful.

Notice any words, phrases, or images that strike or challenge you. Stay there and ruminate on them; let God’s Spirit guide your thinking, imagining, remembering, etc.
Do the feelings lead you to a deeper experience of God/grace? Savor that experience and listen to what God might reveal to you.

Enter into an intimate conversation with the Lord.
End the prayer period with an Our Father, Glory Be, or an expression of gratitude, etc.
