CLC is a community that helps one another discover and live out his or her personal vocation through community, spirituality, and service. In phase 3, we will discern relationship, faith, and vocation. By the end of this phase, we hope and pray that we will experience
a community of friends in the Lord (community)
God’s love for me as I am (spirituality)
how God calls me to be a person with and for others (service)
This phase lasts two or more years. One year we will go through the Discernment Series. The other year we will go through the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. It’s up to the group to decide which one to use.
This section is about building a community of friends in the Lord by sharing our spiritual autobiography. Sharing it also helps us become more aware of our experiences of God and cultivate a more discerning heart. Yes, we belong to God and the community.
This section explores one foundational question, “Do I truly believe that God loves me as I am with all of my gifts and brokenness?” It is really hard to discern God’s will and respond to it if I do not have a sense of God and believe in God’s love and presence in my life.
This section explores the questions of vocation, “What’s God calling for me?” “How do I know God’s will?” “Are there any methods or resources that can help me to discern my vocation?” “How can CLC helps me in discerning my vocation?” and more.
All members strive to commit to three minimum challenges:
Attend small group meetings weekly.
Pray with Ignatian Examen daily.
Serve the poor and marginalized in society regularly (20 hours per year).
