I served in the Marine Corps reserves for 6 years as a mortarman. I was a Mortar's Section Leader and Fire Direction Center Chief for 2 years. While serving I was honored to receive a commendation from my battalion command team.
I'm currently a co-organizer of the Graduate Number Theory Seminar at UIUC.Â
As an undergraduate I had broad academic interests in both mathematics and physics. In addition to the written work in my CV, I've:
Modelled power emitted from neutron stars during collapse.
Written the lab manual currently used in modern physics laboratories at UVU.
Repaired/rebuilt the cooling and power system for a 50W CO2 laser.
