Hello! My name is Clayton Zhao, and I am a life scout working towards my eagle scout, the final rank in Boy Scouts. I first started scouts as a Cub Scout in Den 1199, and transitioned into Boy Scouting through Troop 1300 in Gaithersburg. Although this troop disbanded during the Covid-19 quarantine, I joined Troop 773 in Potomac during my sophomore year of high school. Since then, I have been a Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, and most recently, Senior Patrol Leader. Between freezing in a tarp tent, reaching new heights with new friends, and redirecting rivers for environmental conservation, I have learned lifelong leadership and craftmanship skills through scouting. Because of this, I recognize the importance of giving back to a community I love. As for every day life, I am a senior attending high school in MCPS. After graduation, I hope to pursue digital design in college. Some hobbies I have include reading, drawing, playing music through the violin, and playing net sports such as table tennis and volleyball.
