The Claver Hill Wild Nature trail winds around the site and a second Accessible Nature Trail opened on 27th July 2024. To help you explore the trail take a look at our nature trail booklet from which you can learn about the plants and creatures that share this space with us. In 2020, the Claver Hill site underwent some big changes to improve the management of water within and across the site as part of a Lune Rivers Trust project. Using natural landscaping approaches we now have a number of ponds and reed beds aimed to slow the flow of water into surrounding streams in a way that captures and cleans the water on the site. We also welcomed bees to our site in 2020 and the beekeepers share what is happening at our Open Days, as well as sharing our Claver Hill honey.
