There are different channels through which the stability of a financial system can be compromised, such as vulnerabilities in the corporate sector, weaknesses in the domestic sector, the external sector, and even vulnerabilities in the financial sector. However, financial instability that can lead to a crisis always originates from vulnerabilities in the banking system. My papers follow different points of view on financial stability.
