About the Author

Claudia C. Barreira has always been passionate about books, art, and baroque music, with a special love for the works of J.S. Bach. She finds endless inspiration in museums, bookstores, and the natural world around her.

 Born and raised in rural northeastern Portugal, Claudia also spent a year living in Toronto, Canada, an experience that broadened her perspective from an early age. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of Lisbon, where she first developed a deep interest in climate and environmental issues — a theme that continues to influence her creative work. She later pursued art studies in Porto, combining scientific curiosity with artistic expression.

 Today, Claudia brings her love of nature, learning, and imagination to life through children’s picture books and nature notebooks, inspiring young readers to explore and care for the world around them.
